My buddy is talking about his fight coming up Saturday. He was a big fan of him up until that last fight against Alvarez. The fight was a snoozer. But in addition, he failed his drug test afterwards.

My buddy says he is rooting against him now. This is crazy to me because he was a huge fan of him up until this happened.

Does that skew who you want to win this weekend? Is anyone on the Edson bandwagon because Gilbert pissed hot?

You mean Giblert?

Hey, that Diego Sanchez fight is one of the greatest of all time IMO.

AND his fight with Guida, Thomson, Ishida 1 etc.

Melendez vs Kawajiri in Pride was one of the best LW fights of all time... Definitely one of the most underrated fights in MMA.

Depends on his performance..

if he looks terrible ten people will say he was only any good because of PED's and hes done

If he looks as good as ever people will say the ped's didnt help

I have always had a soft spot for Giblert and any of the good non-ufc champions that had potential. though I am a tad bummed only because I didn't think he was :/ will still support, but at least Alvarez hasn't let me down.

His last fight being boring wasn't really his fault, he didn't choose to have Eddie cuddle him against the cage.

The only thing that I respect about him is the fact that he admitted that he cheated. He didn't make up some bullshit story, he simply just said he was trying to get an unfair advantage and made a mistake. I can respect that, however Barboza should win.

Not unless he pulls a War Machine on somebody, I'll always be a fan. Been a fan of his since his Strikeforce days, because he always brings it, and he is a smart, gritty, fighter.

He seemed a little over confident for my tastes, on the build up show to the UFC on Fox card, but I'm normal confident that his experience will take care of any ring rust or mental mishaps. This next fight of his is good for him, and his opponent, Barboza.

I don't care if fighters get popped for steroids I'm just here for the fights.
