Gilbert Melendez hit his ceiling immediately in UFC

Gilbert was already on his way out by the point he was in the UFC.
Sometimes bad timing like this happens.

He had a bunch of wars before arriving

the most confusing prospects...

tyson griffin, roger huerta, mark hominick, jorge gurgel, gil, benson henderson, anthony pettis, benavidez, joe lauzon, nick diaz,
and... ben askren.

dunno about the speed of hitting ceilings,
but some of these guys were legendary
before they even got to the ufc.

never imagined frankie edgar, clay guida, and jim miller
would out live these guys in the grand scheme of things.
Gurgel had no ACL even on Tuf.

Nick was legendary in the UFC. He just left and then came back. By then he was no longer a prospect.

BS.
Eddie was a big underdog against Justin. Like +330 type underdog. Everyone expected Justin to buzzsaw through Eddie.
Eddie proved everyone wrong.

Edit:
Alvarez+175
Justin -245

This is coming off Eddie being a -160 favorite against Dustin.
Everyone thought Eddie was in for an ass whooping.
I second that. Justin fucked up my parlay that night. He was 18-0 and looked like a future champion while Eddie looked past it. Crazy win from Eddie considering the context.
