Has a groin strike or eye poke ever been ruled intentional in the UFC?

Impossible not to wonder now.
Nah. I tend to be minority here, but that was a clear cup shot (cup, not balls, but still illegal) just that it wasn't the main part of the kick that hit it, but that sound was obvious.

Doesn't need to be a direct hard shot to drop you after having already been low blowed twice before.

Sometimes points can be deducted because of perceived damage, I've heard Herb Dean say " I have to take a point, he's clearly not the same after having x foul happen" or of course if there's multiple incidents regardless of intent. I can't recall anyone deeming an eye poke or groin strike as intentional in the UFC though, Yans knee however.
Yeah, if it's severe, then, from a refs perspective, the lack of requisite care or control vs intent is a distinction without a difference.

Fair enough. I don't remember that fight at all, was just basing that on the gif lol. Didn't look hard enough to notice it being low.

Why do you think Jones keeps throwing eye pokes ?

And then DC copied it VS Stipe. But Stipe took revenge. I hope DCs eyes still burn.

But I believe this was legal at the time, and in retrospect, totally justified

How dare you justify that. Have you no Honor?

Not UFC but In Pride , Don Fry vs Gilbert Yvel...Yvel repeatedly gouged at Fry's eyes it was the dirtiest I've ever seen in the sport.

Rumble Johnson had a TKO loss by eye poke. of course, it was Mazzagatti who made the call. Rumble did get revenge in the rematch and he headkicked the guy stiff.

Lol, they don't even take points away when it's warranted. It would have to be like full mount, double thumbs, trying to dig them out of the skull for them to call an intentional eye poke.
That's what makes it a good question, no?
