Any string instrument is extremely hard to play - and play well !! Wind instruments come right after those - then all the others down the line.

Percussionists continuing not to get the recognition they deserve.:(

My fav drummers are:
Bonzo, Nick Mason, Bun E. Carlos, Ginger Baker, Keith Moon, Charlie Watts (R.I.P. :(), Moe Tucker, Ian Paice, Carlos Santana's drummer wife, ty. :)

Probably violin. Or a trumpet.

Ive been playing guitar for 30 years and its jazzy drummers that blow my mind. They control the contraction and expansion of time, the perceived speed, play multiple patterns simultaneously, etc. Its magical and i don't understand it at all.

Also, keyboardists like Scott Storch that can weave melodies and beats on the fly.

Obviously, but if we're counting a drum kit as 'an instrument', I would lean towards that, as you're maintaining multiple rhythms at once. Idk how many a good drummer would be doing at once, each hand and foot is doing something different, you have to keep track of more than four things at once. Some drummers sing as well.
