Newsflash: it's a war. Innocent civilians die in wars. They are either killed deliberately or die while getting caught in the crossfire. The difference between Israel and Hamas is that Hamas deliberately targeted civilians whereas Israel deliberately targeted/targets militants. Had Hamas not used civilians as human shields, there would have been a massive reduction in civilian deaths.

As for the so-called Al-Jazeera "journalists" (you missed the double quotes) who died recently, they had no business being embedded with Hamas terrorists in the first place. Doing so broke their status of neutrality and made them enemy combatants themselves.
