It's for upgrading weapons. You can get one each time you beat a boss with each type weapon at each heat level (unlocks after you're first completion, I think). I upgraded the sword a few times before finally beating Hades just by trying out different weapons.

Got out twice in 37 attempts. Spear first, and gun after. Demeter be praised, as the chill effect was crucial in both attempts.

BTW, the most busted build is Ares blade cast with all upgrades, plus the duo boon with Artemis that makes it auto target, THEN Ares legendary that makes every tick do increased damage.

I feel the same way about any good shield build using the daedelus upgrade that makes the throw hit more targets. A Poseidon/Zeus duo that starts stacking rupture and lightning bolts with knockback effects is brutal.

Merciful End on the (Demeter) Twin Fists. Finished Hades in like 2 mins with that build (Ares/Athena)
My other favorite builds ATM.. Are (Nemesis) Sword with Full Crit.. (Rama) Bow and (Hestia) Rail. Throw Hangover/or Doom, and Weak on them suckers and they melt.

Oh, yeah, I had a ME build on Aspect of Zeus. Crazy good. I think the Ares/Demeter duo build is better, but also requires more luck to get.
I had a run recently where I managed to get 5 casts due to chaos. I'm wondering how many runs it would take to get an Ares/Artemis seeking blade build with 5 casts and Hermes legendary that makes casts automatically come back to you. That'd basically be a cheat code.

One of the easiest builds I've had that just wreck shop is the bow that fires more bolts in the Q and just put doom on the Q and upgrade it as much as possible to watch shit melt. Spamming the screen with upgraded doom bolts everywhere was surprisingly fun and effective for such an easy build

Just got to where those three unlockable items at Skelly's showed up. 8 heat for the first reveal? Sheesh. Gonna be a while before I unlock those things. Some of those heat gauges are incredibly punishing. I've only messed around with cutting the health rewards and limiting boon options.

I like the shields on enemies. It's basically up to two hits where nothing happens. But you can burn through them pretty fast on most builds. But it wouldn't be something to take on a Poseidon build when you can ramp up initial damage.
Which items do you mean? Some of them unlock by giving ambrosia to certain gods and characters.

The three big veiled items that appear in Skelly's room after a certain point. It's only showing the requirements for the first one, which is escaping with 8 heat. I imagine the requirements just go up and up as you unlock one after another. Haven't run into anything to unlock with the ambrosia yet. I've just been trading those for diamonds, titan blood, and gems, which I'll probably regret later down the road, LOL.

The time limit one at the bottom is basically free, you just have to be able to beat the game in 36 minutes, which is super easy. Once you get good at beating Theseus and Hades the wins will start coming.

Theseus and the minotaur have never given me problems outside of the first few times I faced them. Hades on the other hand...man, I can't get him down consistently. Only times I've walked through him, is when my build was just ridiculous. The other times have been scratching and clawing to edge him out. I don't know what it is, either. He's got a fairly basic move set, with nothing too crazy, but I just end up choking and getting dinged by everything.
