Gymnast injury

she'll certainly kneed some time to mend.
but I'm not a doctor, I'm on shaky ground without a leg to stand on.
hopefully next time, she gets a leg up on her competitors.

too soon?
nah, c'mon she'll be OK.
ha,puns.

breaking one foot and one knee is bad enough but she did that times two she suffered like 4 injuries at once.

That commentator <{CMPALM}>

"It looks like she rolled her ankle"
I lol pretty hard at that. a doctor he is not. the only thing she probably didn't hurt was her ankles.

here's a non injured landing for your time.

Bless you sir.

this is a tragedy she may never be able to get her legs behind her head again

I love how the dude comes casually strolling up to check on her with zero urgency. Hands in his pocket like he’s whistling Dixie at a museum

extremely brutal, good lawd

i couldn't even imagine something like that. Although i understand a simple misjudgement in rotation or opening up can cause havoc. I once get way too confident in HS, and assumed b/c i could do a Double flip off a lowdive, a 2.5 from the high dive should be no problem right?

uh no. Let's say i did a 2.25, opened up way early and completely faceplanted/bellyflopped/groin destruction at all once. I did get a standing O when i got out, but i looked like i was sunburn for like 5 days from the impact redness.

I'm not sure if that, or the time i tried to flying squirrel off the Second level Platform, and overrotated and did like a parachute instead was worse.

Took the time to write this while recovering in the hospital and also mourning Auburn's Final Four defeat.

Friday night was my final night as a gymnast. After 18 years I am hanging up my grips and leaving the chalk behind. I couldn’t be prouder of the person that gymnastics has made me to become. It’s taught me hard work, humility, integrity, and dedication, just to name a few. It’s given me challenges and road blocks that I would have never imagined that has tested who I am as a person. It may not have ended the way I had planned, but nothing ever goes as planned.

Thank you Auburn family for giving me a home and a chance to continue doing the sport that will always be my first love. I am honored to have had the privilege to represent the navy and orange AU for the past 4 years with my team by my side. Thank you for letting me share my passion with you. Thank you for letting me be a part of something bigger than myself.

I am sure @whitemanbrother would say “golly”

Rub a little tussin' on it and walk it off!

lol @ blind anchor.."i think her ankle may be hurt." brah, her fucking knees almost snapped in two.

I wonder if 35 year old former gymnasts have the body mechanics of a 45 year old former NFLer.

No most of the men are quite healthy.

A lot of the women go from exercising 6 hours a day to doing bugger all so might have a weight issue.
