I'm just talking shit, probably not if there's a record tying it to you. But I don't think courts typically investigate to see if you have assets in a foreign country unless there's a reason too. If your partner doesn't even know the money exists, you'd probably be safe.

Yea the only solution here is like someone else said and that's just driving up their debt so high they both lose everything. I do wonder if he could get her on record making these threats if that could be used against her. Would be a good idea to see what a lawyer says.

They probably live in a no fault divorce state so it would be seen as completely irrelevant.

He's boned. Only option is to move out into a small apartment and try to get on with his life... or just stay and put up with it for the sake of the kids. Either way, he's going to be miserable.

If he is seen to be actively wasting money, to pull something like this, the judge will give her even more of the asset pool. The judge isn't stupid, they've seen men try this shit to spite their ex before and they will punish you for it.
