Greta is a symptom of the bad case that scientists don't get a proportional awareness among people relative to the importance and weight of what they have to say. You have much more success creating awareness for something through a celebrity than through science.
We are approaching an idiocracy, and this particular subject shows how far we've come towards that since there are so many people that just dismiss what scientists are saying without actually dealing with the arguments and observations and instead just say something like that they just don't believe it. Science is by default open to corrections so if you don't think something is correct you will be able to use the scientific method to show it. I think most would be very happy and relieved to arrive at a scientific consensus that said that we aren't affecting the climate. Then again we have a reality show star being elected president in the largest western nation who makes statements on the matter despite being too ignorant to even know the difference between weather and climate, so the chances of the attitude changing are probably slim, despite that there's a lot of high level education to be had there.
