Sugar Ray Robinson seems almost unanimous around here.

Followed by Rocky Marciano.

If Manny defeats DLH and then goes on to defeat Hatton...he's be the best in my book. Maybo not best technical boxer that would go to Floyd, but best fighter...Manny.

Joe Louis is the greatest heavyweight.

P49
1. Sugar Ray Robinson
2. Henry Armstrong
3. Sam Langford
4. Harry Greb
5. Ezzard Charles

i'm only 19. i've watched his fights on ESPN Classics, i've seens tapes of his fights. I've seen him fight, he is the only HW boxing champ to retire undefeated. He won 44 of 49 fights by Knock Out, thats a 88% knockout rate.

The guy was good, i think he beats any HW fighter from any era in their primes. I think he beats Tyson, Ali, Frazier, Liston, Louis, Foreman, ect...ect...ect..

WOW guys, really? Marciano is far from the greatest HW of all time, let alone greatest boxer of all time.
The recognized greatest HWs of all time are Ali and Louis, there are few who disagree outside of those two.
As for the greatest P4P of all time, Sugar Ray Robinson is widely regarded as that man. However there are a few guys who some hold above him, Duran is an example.
Yikes.

Rocky Marciano and Jake LaMotta are my two favorite. The bests ?? Maybe not but still both very good.

No Ray Robinson = Fail

Jack Johnson for the hardcore fans

My favorire of all time is the Bronze Bull

lol, steady on there. Rocky would be a super middle weight today so how can you feasibly say he'd beat that crop.

I'm going to go with Jack Johnson. So utterly dominant in his time, against all odds.

There's too many. Ali, Marciano, Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson. It's hard to pick one.
