Great scissor sweep by Francis

dude....you are acting like small dudes beat HW's all the time lol. Sounds like you took my comment personally. But if you see smaller guys tapping out HW's pretty frequently than so be it. That's your reality I guess lol

I didn't say that at all sir.
What I said is it happens.

Hence the much love, as in no hate towards you sir.

Sure you had success….. vs a HW just stop.
LOL a 152 pounder out wrestled a 200+ pounder. Guy he beat was probably a jelly donut. I see higher skilled guys struggle more than usually against HW's all of the time.

Only time you might get anything on a HW is if they are gassed af and you are fresh. Or if they feel like letting you practice some technique and go at 30%

Its like when I roll with a woman or little guy in Jits I do my best not to utilise my size and I only use about 30-40% strength that way we can practice actual technique and its not just me bulldozing through everything.

Smdh

In General The weight and strength differential is to much to overcome particularly at low skill levels and its even worse if they have the same skill level.

The state champ at my school was 170, and beat hw all the time.
I lost way more than I won but I dud win occasionally.
We weren't throwing punches ffs sir lol.

That's all I was trying to say. I just don't think a lot of people trashing the grappling on here, have ever had success grappling someone of those two's size or strength, it is way different. They can't grapple like Tim Elliott at that weight

Wow you guys have absolutely blown this into something it never was...sherdog I guess huh boys.

Man, this forum. You outwrestle a HW, people shit all over you for lying. But if you get tapped once by a girl, you become an eternal laughingstock

I was just trying to explain myself ffs, and got hopped on like it never happened.
Jesus christ superstar lol.

It's not the reality, a lot struggle with size difference grappling. Not even with HW's it can be bigger grapplers they will struggle. Some do well but most avoid the larger grapplers during free roll, even if the bigger grapplers aren't that experienced. I see it all the time in grappling classes. I always hear people looking for people their size to grapple with.

Bjj and wrestling are like different planets.
Holy shit

LOL actually they work very well hand in hand. And in Modern grappling you need one for the other to work and visa versa. I will admit I prefer Hip throws and Trips * I have a background in Judo* then a Single or a double or a drag down. (For me it consumes alot less energy my cardio is ass.)

And wrestling and BJJ both basically come down to controlling the hips and breaking down your opponents posture and enacting control.

If you have trained both you would know this.

Yeah we pretty much have the big boys roll with the big boys. (Sucks for me because I am a smaller big boy compared to the BIG LADS)
