Great scissor sweep by Francis

LOL actually they work very well hand in hand. And in Modern grappling you need one for the other to work and visa versa. I will admit I prefer Hip throws and Trips * I have a background in Judo* then a Single or a double or a drag down. (For me it consumes alot less energy my cardio is ass.)

And wrestling and BJJ both basically come down to controlling the hips and breaking down your opponents posture and enacting control.

If you have trained both you would know this.
In BJJ it's easier for the small guy to beat the big guy compared to Wrestling... that's what he meant lol

Sir I am literally talking 29 years ago...fuckin BJJ was barely known at all...by anybody ffs.
Let alone HS kids.

Did you miss the part where I said Modern grappling?

As a blue belt (I'm not that good either)..

That would never normally work.. Gane's base was absolutely terrible..like first class whitebelt bad..

I'm not even sure what gane was doing, he stepped into the sweep, it's like he helped Ngannou flip him..

Happy Ngannou got it though..

I dunno about that at equal levels of skill its pretty fucking rare for the little guy to win. If your a little guy vsing a big guy who has zero skill and no experience yup you gonna tap that biggun all day.

But if you got two guys who started at the same time with equal skill. The deciding factor will be size (if the little guy can survive Cardio also plays a roll).

Yeah we pretty much have the big boys roll with the big boys. (Sucks for me because I am a smaller big boy compared to the BIG LADS)
Yeah being 240 and constantly matched with the couple of 300+ pounders in the gym is not very fun after a while haha. Good conditioning though for sure

This doesn't exist in Wrestling

Go to a gym long enough you find your people. Guys n Gals who help each other hone your skills rather then battle it out non stop.

Finding the right partners to roll with made a huge difference in how fast my skills developed.

I guess I did, my bad sir.

All good man and I get what your saying. But the reality is even in wrestling size differential matters. Alot.

I mean lets say I have a 75 Kilo (150 pounds approx) who manages to Straddle my chest I have options to deal with this including brute strength and size. Compare that to one of my other training partners who weighs 155 Kilo’s, my options are severely limited as is my ability to breath just with him astride me.

And? I still don’t get it. Yes no leg locks Knee Bars etc etc in wrestling…… you think strength and size plays no roles in those submissions?

See I think that's where this shit got lost in translation somehow.
I lost far more than I won, but I did win occasionally.

That's all I waa saying at first.
The state champ from my school smoked HWs on a regular basis and he was 170lbs.

We are also talking about Greco not Freestyle. Its a big difference in rule sets.

Bhahahahahahaaa. Damn... wtf? Lol.

<36>

This is all from me saying something about wrestling in hs and winning sometimes against bigger guys... I have no idea where it went from there.

Lunacy really sir.

I said in BJJ it's easier for the small guy to beat the big guy compared to Wrestling, you said you didn't know about that, then I sent a picture of a small BJJ guy tapping a big BJJ guy at the highest level which I said didn't exist in Wrestling proving my point

Yeah strength plays a role in leg locking to an extent, but not nearly as much as finishing a double leg lol
