Psychedelic Grateful Dead!

I never understood them and didn't pay attention. One day I'm hanging out and in the background there is a live recording of some band. The song goes on for a while. I start to notice that it's bluesy and pretty dam good ask the bar tender who is that. He looks on the iPad and says Great full Dead. I was surprised never knew they could jam like that.

It's never too late to appreciate good unwimpy music :)

I have been on a Dead kick lately.

I'm trying to learn a bunch of their songs on ukulele. I was playing along with skull and bones album yesterday and able to play most of it by ear.

(Strumming along with chords, not playing all the arpeggios and licks)

Would like to learn these soon:

Sugaree (which I *already know on piano)
Ramble on Rose
Sugar Magnolia
Friend of the Devil *

______

For my Tuesday ketamine infusion treatment I ran a GD playlist which worked perfectly for its intended purpose of keeping my brain in a happy positive state of mind.

Saw Dead & Co. at the Sphere in Vegas on 5/30/24.

Check this killer set out:

Iko Iko
Eyes of the world
Bertha
Loser

I've never been off a Dead spree, coz the MUSIC NEVER DIED :):):)

Died on this day in 1995. I was on my way to a friends house to pick him up for work when I heard the news on the radio. We took the day off and sat in a bar that had nothing but the Grateful Dead on the jukebox. The place slowly filled up with fans and we celebrated the incredible life of Jerry Garcia. R.I.P.
