but Paul being snubbed must have been a marker called in by the neo-cons, as he's a party line guy when it comes to guns. I mean if they have room for Trump, Carson and Palin and not Paul - there is a message there.

100% they are coming after him
This is going to be interesting to watch

Yeah, seems weird to me. Rand has a good stance on guns and you'd think the NRA would be cool with him.

So Trump is there this year? God I hope he runs for the pure fact that the debates would be hilarious. (But I highly....HIGHLY....doubt he'll run. He's just making noise.)

You don't want the debates to be hilarious if you really want the GOP guy to have a chance in the GE

Yeah, I guess that's true. But I really don't think we'll have to worry about Trump. If you look at it logically, there's no way he's going to run. He would have to give up too much of what he loves and put it in the hands of his kids. I don't think he's ready to do that.

Rand is on the Kelly file right now

What a bitch

Rand or Kelly?:icon_chee He handled it really well. He admitted he is learning to do interviews better. Basically the problem is though if he goes on CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, NBC they don't like him and try to make false assertions right off the bat so he gets defensive. I think he is wising up to the game he needs to play.

I really would like to see where the pollls are at by the end of April with Cruz, Rubio, and Rand announcing. Rubio likely is hoping he has a decent surge with his announcement. I'm not sure if you really get much of a surge when you announce other than if you come in a little later like with Perry.

Would love to see Rand. I may not agree with him on everything, but holy fuck man. We need someone that is going to make some cuts.

Get some of them cold cuts

The tea party originally was anti-war before the GOP hijacked it.

Indeed.

Here in my little corner of St. Charles Mo, We gave the GOP hell.
In '12 a helicopter came and they arrested some folks from Paul's side.

Dude, I have the fattest crush on Megyn Kelly. Soooooooooo would.

Man, I just do not agree with you on much, here or in the movie section, but cheers on this one. Megyn Kelly is just right on.

Marco Rubio only one with a chance

With Hillary on the ticket, I think a few candidates have a good chance.

If Jeb wasn't in the field, I would easily pick Rubio as the favorite to win it. Jeb fucks up a lot of Rubio's advantages though.

Beware of Marco
His loyalty is with Israel, not America

After the Tea party moniker was highjacked by the neo-cons, Marco was one they put up.

Rand Paul Defends Himself as an Equal-Opportunity Offender of the Media

After a day of bad press about his relations with ... the press, Sen. Rand Paul capped off the second day of his campaign with a somewhat conciliatory interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

Paul has been accused of talking down to female reporters after interrupting the Today show's Savannah Guthrie in an interview Wednesday morning, and shushing CNBC's Kelly Evans in February.

The latest media peccadillo that Paul has taken issue with is trying to nail down his stance on abortion; specifically, whether he would support abortion in cases of rape, incest, or when the life of the mother was threatened.

Rand Paul: I'm testy with male and female reporters
Rand Paul admitted on Wednesday that he gets testy with reporters, but said he's an equal opportunity offender with his short temper.

"I think I've been universally short tempered and testy with both male and female reporters, I'll own up to that," the Kentucky senator and 2016 presidential contender said in an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

Earlier on Wednesday Paul had a contentious interview with NBC "Today" show co-host Savannah Guthrie, accusing her of editorializing on perceived changes in his political views since his election to the Senate. Paul also chastised reporter Associated Press reporter Phillip Elliot for pushing him on his views about exceptions to bans on abortions: "I gave you about a five-minute answer. Put in my five-minute answer," Paul said.

Rand Paul's Tax Proposal Suddenly Went Missing From His Campaign Website

As a small-government, libertarian-minded conservative, one would think taxes would be an important part of Sen. Rand Paul's candidacy for president. But the day after his announcement, the tax section of Paul's website mysteriously disappeared.

Previously, Paul has said he would propose the largest tax cut in American history. In a Facebook town hall Tuesday, Paul said he thought the Internal Revenue Service was too big and powerful and promised to simplify the tax system.

Rand Paul's Hawkish Foes Haunt Him in New Hampshire
Alice Bury was eating breakfast when she heard the pounding music and ominous narration that had already become as familiar as a Beatles song. "The Senate is considering tough new sanctions on Iran," said the anonymous voice of a new and secretive group, the Foundation for a Secure and Prosperous America. "President Obama says he'll veto them. And Rand Paul is standing with him." Cue: Footage of swarthy men burning a flag. This was all over the air the day of Paul's first presidential campaign visit to the Granite state.

"It was about the third time we saw it in a 24-hour period," said Bury, a retired nurse who lives in nearby Amherst, as she craned her neck for a view of the Kentucky senator. "My husband just said, 'enough,' and he got up and turned off the TV. That ad was so vicious that I really question it. "
