I want a real one instead of hearing about how stupid our GOP is
Ever consider that this assortment (and 2012's) does represent the best the GOP has to offer?

For example, I really don't like Hilary. Given where I live I won't be voting for her and will instead vote Green (if I were in a swing state I would vote Hilary because the GOP is much worse, alas this is one of the reddest places in the country). Nonetheless, Hillary has seemed like one of the better candidates available to the dems for nomination. She has, at least to now, seemed highly electable and appeals to moderates and the many of the actual liberals can stomach her.

Ted Cruz Tells NASA to Stop Worrying About Climate Change and Focus on Space
Ted Cruz and Charles Bolden would probably agree that the core of the Earth is a mass of molten metal as hot as the sun. But as for the core of NASA's mission, the senator from Texas and the former astronaut split ways.

Since taking the chairmanship of the Senate Space, Science, and Competitiveness Subcommittee this year, Cruz has been pushing the agency to adopt a "more space, less Earth" strategy. The Republican lawmaker argues that the Obama administration is wrongfully neglecting the country's space exploration operations—like potential missions to Mars and beyond—in favor of global-warming research. And he wants to know if Bolden, NASA's administrator, thinks so, too.

Report: 'Bridgegate' probe could wrap soon

A U.S. attorney-led investigation into possible abuses of power by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, including lane closures on the George Washington Bridge, is expected to close in the coming weeks, the Wall Street Journal reported late Friday.
The probe, which has also zeroed in on former Port Authority Chairman David Samson, has ramped up in recent weeks and prosecutors have shown signs that they are nearing the end of their investigation, the Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Rand Paul Attacks Modern 'Segregation' in Speech at Black College

Rand Paul did not make a good first impression on Robert Stubblefield. In 2013, the then-20 year old student at historically black Bowie State College watched a livestream as the Kentucky senator spoke at historically black Howard University. It didn't go well for Paul, who was interrupted by a protest, and laughed at by students whom he presumed to teach black history.

"He sounded like he was talking down to blacks about the Republican Party," recalled Stubblefield, now a graduate student in public administration. "How come you guys abandoned us? We're the ones that freed the slaves! There was a time when y'all voted Republican! He didn't understand, it wasn't like we just voted for Democrats. We voted on issues."

Rand easily has a template for reaching out to black voters. It fits very well also with a conservative ideology of oppressive government. It's beyond stupid more of the GOP isn't taking these type of stances. I think Crime and Poverty have become non-issues in politics and it needs to be central again.

a third bush is the white house. don't you americans hate dynasties? third bush and second clinton.great choice.

What is his appeal when his (or more his fathers) policies seem to entail the freedom of states to allow racial oppression. Beyond school vouchers there is not much appeal to the black vote.

Will kill his Presidency aspirations or give it a huge boost. If he's cleared, I think he gets a huge boost and becomes a front runner - he's the best on the stump and that will go a long way for him. Bush should be most worried because I think politically they're moderates, but Christie's style will be a better selling point, and will the fact that he's not a "Bush". Bush can't afford to split the moderate vote because moderates make up a smaller portion of primary voter base as it is.

I think you answered your own question. Rand has some distinct differences with his father's stances.

It will be funny if hard right voters favor Christie over Bush. I think on the spectrum, Christie might be right in the middle so you couldn't even say Conservative moderate. That doesn't kill his chances completely since the GOP hasn't had the presidency for 8 years. Parties tend to vote more moderate when that happens. I agree with you it's the corruption persona that may be getting attached to him that is going to determine whether people see him as a get shit done politician or a corrupt sellout politician.

Who do you want to win?

i want someone who has our best interests at heart as Americans. I know it wont be jeb fucking bitch sorry bush

or Hilary psychopath Clinton and not Ted, he's not even freakin american

Look at the Kennedy's. If JFK and his brother were shot, I think we would've had a family dynasty there. Before that, you had the Roosevelts. With the conservative wing, you will see a dynasty mindset far more because they seem to vote based on which candidates is next in line.

Democrats tend to vote for the outsider which is another reason I think the Hillary hype is far to overblown. You bring in one competent candidate to compete with her in debates that seems new to the public and we will have a heated race. The problem is, I really don't know if Dems have that right now. Many of their top politicians are older. It's like there is a missing generation at this point but I'm sure it will appear if a Republican wins the white house. More contenders appear from the opposing side when they don't control the white house.

Soooo... who do you want to win?

My hope is that neither will happen.

If Bush or Clinton run for 2016, it will be 7 out of the last 8 presidential elections involving those families. The dynasty is already around. I just think it may finally be time where America dismisses them. I actually believe Hillary has a strong chance of being dismissed in her primary than Bush despite how competitive the GOP's race is.

Walker Says He's a Voter-Listener, Not a Flip-Flopper
Likely 2016 Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker on Saturday defended himself against charges that he's a flip-flopper during a brief exchange with reporters following his only public event on a two-day trip to New Hampshire.

The Wisconsin governor said he always tries to listen to voters, when asked by Mark Halperin of Bloomberg Politics what the difference is between changing your mind on an issue and flip-flopping.

"The key is if you listen to people and you've got a valid argument for why you've done it

And Governors will say Senators are at a disadvantage in this era since they don't have any budget experience.

Same attack lines from each respective side really.

I really think Obama will be remembered as a foreign policy president and I guess that goes to his background. In 2012, I almost wished there was a domestic and foreign office cause I really favored Obama's track record over what I know we would've seen with Romney.

I just saw a town hall Bush had in NH and this guy is a stone cold lock for POTUS. I'm not saying he'll get my vote (he won't) but there is no way the general pop doesn't fall for this guy (barring major major controversy)
