I loved reading the news reports online about the Romney drop out and seeing all the people saying "He should have won!" "The county needs a man like Romney to get us back on track!" "Those goddamn liberals would have voted for him if they had any sense!"
So much butthurt and reverence for a corporate weasel who basically won the primary by default and would have had trouble gaining traction in the general election with Wolverine's claws as cleats. If I were a Republican I would still be livid that he was the best my party could give me, after pissing McCain-Palin on our faces in '08. Romney would have been a great incumbent, but he's a horrible challenger. I do think there is going to be a bit of a power vacuum on the Democratic side too though, they seem to be taking this election for granted. You can't depend on the GOP to implode every time, and their roster is a little thin. No one is going be able to hit the charisma levels of Obama, and there is going to be a ton of money pouring in on the other side. You don't need to charm corporate money out, you need to suck it.
