GOP = National Embarrassment

The GOP is making our country look like a bunch of idiots, wackos, and morons. The two front-runners in the race are literately talking about each other wives! How can anyone in the GOP be proud of these two?

Here’s the challenge to Republicans on this site. Without mentioning Obama, Hillary, Bernie, or any other democrat, explain how you can be proud of your party and the people you are electing.
America has gotten the leaders we deserve. And it will continue to happen.

This is the 2012 electoral map:

Which states that are blue on this map do you think flip for Trump?

EDIT: wrong map.

It isn't a forgone conclusion that Hillary will win the same battleground states as Obama did in 2012, especially considering Trump won those same states except for Ohio because of hometown voters.

Yeah, and I'm asking you which ones do you think will flip. You think he will win but you haven't even mapped out how in your head?

Primary votes don't mean shit. Romney won Ohio, Florida, Virginia in the 2012 Republican Primary.

Looks like the conservatives have literally nothing good to say about their party. That would make me question my affiliation personally.

Misleading question. "Being proud" isnt really a factor in determing who would be the best guy for the job.

I don't like the wife talk but I love how contentious the GOP field has been. I feel like I have a much grasp on who these candidates are...at least temperamentally...than I have in any previous election.

When two regular people are heavily criticizing each other from afar you would expect to see fireworks when they get in the same room. In years past you don't see that with presidential candidates. You see this fake polite act where they pretend to respect each other while finding the most PC and delicate ways to attack each other. F all that.

Obvious reading comprehension issues. "Here’s the challenge to Republicans on this site. Without mentioning Obama, Hillary, Bernie, or any other democrat, explain how you can be proud of your party and the people you are electing."

Once again, explain how you can be proud of GOP candidates. So far, not one person has provided an answer. No one has said why they are proud of the GOP candidates.

Anyone, anyone.....

Ok, for starters I am proud that they all understand:

Having open borders and a flood of illegal immigration is not good for America
ISIS is not just the "J.V." team and they all will say the words "radical Islamic terrorists." They also don't want to just accept en masse Syrian refugees who ISIS has promised to infiltrate.
Respect for 2nd Amendment rights
Obamacare needs to be repealed
Not appointing liberal justices to federal courts

As a Canadian I really enjoy how comedic the GOP can be, in an almost terrifying way.

PBI is genuinely really concerned about email server management. When someone doesn't follow best practices in that area, he consistently regards that person as an embarrassment. Totally not a hack.
I hate to be a dick, but PBI is easily one of the worst posters on here.

No he has not won every state by at least 10 points. He won arkansas by 2, vermont by 2, virginia by 3, kentucky by 4, louisiana by 4, illinois by 8, nc by 4, and mizzou by .2. He's never gotten a majority in any state, and his polls in places like Utah show him losing Utah in a general. Gop losing utah in the general is ridiculous.

In states that are likely to be contested in a GE he's won Florida by 18, Illinois by 8, Nevada by 22, Virginia by 3, NH by 19, and NC by 3. The two loses he had in Iowa and Minnesota Were also lost by Clinton so in a 1 vs 1 those numbers would change. As I said GE polls in March are useless, as Hillary got buried in Utah as well.

I like Trump, am not ashamed of the guy or is stances.

Amazing to think that in 04 yelling oddly could sink a campaign, while in 2016 you can babble incoherently for months and be the GOP frontrunner.

If Howard Dean had taken favorable and popular positions like the GOP frontrunner then that wouldn't have sank his campaign.

Why do you think primary votes matter? You know mostly Republicans vote in Republican primaries (even in the open ones). Its not indicative in anyway of how the state will vote in November. Like I said in my other post. Romney won Ohio, Virginia, and Florida in the primary and lost all of them in the general..because a lot of non-Republicans came out to vote in November (shocking stuff, I know).

I was talking about Utah, you're the one who brought up the GE map

Same can be said for the Democrats with the Sanders vs Clinton dramatic as well. Independents rarely vote in the primaries and they are usually the deciders in BGS.

So you don't think Trump will win the GE?

I said he has a chance but he would be the underdog against Hillary of course

why are people surprised that Donald Trump is running such an unconventional campaign?

because it's working...he's getting more and more popular and his message/messages are resonating with a lot of people

Trump has said some extreme things, but honestly...when have we had an honest conversation about the border before him?

never before has the border issue been placed in the limelight as it is now.

And I have no issues with hecklers, and disrupters getting assaulted at his rallies.

You don't go in another man's house and start shit, and not expect consequences.

I'd take Trump over any of the GOP candidates that ran...

maybe with the exception of Rand Paul.

Exactly. They immediately start to attack the Dems. Sad state of affairs over there on the right.

Fair enough. Anything can happen but I think Hilary is a pretty big favorite and will remain one barring scandal or unforeseen events.
