GOP = National Embarrassment

Are any of these in front of buildings where dissidents are imprisoned? Are any of these in front of pictures of people who begged to have america nuked?

If you look at the pics of bush they are just hanging out. Reagan is giving a speech and anyone would give a speech there.
Everyone hates Nixon. I don't think any republicans are coming to defend him on china.

As far as handshaking, yes you meet leaders from countries you hate. No doubt. This is not bad.

Look at the Obama picture, they were positioned to make a nice propaganda photo for Castro.
Castro locked up cubans who dissented just for Obama's visit.

Also, no one is saying that republicans did nothing embarrassing. The thing is, I am worried about now not 30 years ago. You should do the same.

Now, here is why Obama going to cuba was so horrible. Make sure you do the same for the pics you posted. There was more to it than just photographs....you do know this? sure you do

Here are five reasons Obama’s trip to Cuba is one of the worst acts of his presidency.

Imprisonment Of Dissidents. Just before Obama’s arrival, the Cuban government started rounding up those who disagree with the regime. According to The New York Times:

[H]ours before Air Force One landed at José Martí International Airport, the challenges inherent in normalizing relations with a Communist police state were laid bare, as dozens of arrests were made at the weekly march of Ladies in White, a prominent dissident group…the arrests confirmed that Cuba was maintaining its long history of repressive tactics, if not intensifying their reach….The baseball game where Mr. Obama will watch Cuba’s national team play the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday is an invitation-only event, with most seats going to government loyalists. Some of the Old Havana shops near where Mr. Obama strolled on Sunday evening had been ordered to stay closed. The police have been sweeping up prostitutes from nightclubs and beggars from the streets….No matter what Mr. Obama says about freedom during his three-day stay, the Cuban government has made it clear that Cubans of all ideologies will be expected to behave.

Re-Enshrinement Of The Castros. Raul Castro couldn’t be happier about any of this. The American media, seeking to defend the honor of their beloved Obama, have fallen in love with the Castros all over again. ESPN, for example, tweeted, “Savior and scourge, Fidel Castro was many things to many people. One thing all can agree on: He loved his sports.”
Fidel a savoir???? lol, who did he save?

Humiliation Of America. The Cuban government has for generations pushed the narrative that the United States is a brutal colonial power hell-bent on world domination. Now they’ve got pictures of the President of the United States visiting all their favorite memorials and standing in front of buildings emblazoned with murals of Marxist murderer Che Guevara.
Obama’s about to get the same treatment in Cuba. Upon touching down in Cuba, Cuban dictator Raul Castro didn’t even show up to greet him. He did for former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. That’s no coincidence. That’s how propaganda works. Now Cubans will be treated to the spectacle of an American president kowtowing to a communist dictator.

Pretend Changes. Obama has pledged “change.” For example, said Obama, Google will be making a deal with the Cuban government to expand Cuba’s wifi. Well, no. Cuba restricts internet access to prevent people in Cuba from reading outside information that would debunk their propaganda. But Obama’s appearance in Cuba gives the Cuban government propaganda to suggest that Cubans are free.

Romanticization Of Poverty. The left constantly romanticizes poverty. But they’ll kick it into high gear with Obama in Cuba. Two days ago, The New York Times described the impoverished citizenry this way: “Cuba at times can feel like a nation abandoned. The aching disrepair of its cities, the untamed foliage of its countryside, the orphaned coastlines – a half-century of isolation has wrapped the country in decay. Yet few places in the world brim with as much life as Cuba, a contrast drawn sharper amid its faded grandeur.”
People living in abject poverty, their access to basic information restricted, their speech shut down – those people ought not be patronized with idiot myths about the glory of poverty.

waiting for your rebuttal. I am sure it will not be as bad as just leaving some stupid pics. Lol. pathetic

Quite frankly Skip, you showed your ass and wrote a lengthy response to try and justify the actions of the other Republican presidents posing in front of mass murdering fuckheads.

There is no excuse. No one forced Reagan to speak in front of the 20 foot tall statue of Lenin. Bush even went out of his way to pose in front of a picture of Mao with his wife. Your butthurt is noted. Carry on.

Oh right, Benghazi. This chick is an ultra embarrassment.
That was an embarrassment for the team you cheerlead for.

They made a huge deal of it and had to admit they found nothing. Pretty ugly except they can rely on folks like you.

I don't vote GOP so I hope they aren't relying on me. They might get my vote if Trump continues to look like the guy we need but beyond that I could care less.

You keep cheer leading for your girl tho.

This has been an interesting election for me. It's actually made me less cynical about the GOP establishment. There is, in fact, a floor to their cynicism and willingness to sell out all their principles for power: Donald Trump. Or perhaps they just realize that were Trump to become president they'd have no power. I suppose we'll see at the convention, if they're willing to utterly subvert the democratic process to place an establishment nominee on the ticket instead of the people's choice DJT.

The GOP doesn't want Trump or Cruz but they are the only 2 with a legit chance of beating her. Unfortunately instead of unifying the party by supporting them, they have outright condemned both of them but saying they would rather nominate Romney again then let Cruz or Trump run the GOP again. They are killing their own party and they don't care. If Trump doesn't win the GOP will not win another presidency for the forseeable future.

Neither have a good shot at beating Clinton. Kasich is the only candidate still in the race with favorables better than Hillary. But he can't win the nomination, except perhaps by really dirty machinations.

Whoever said that Mitt would have won this one though is probably correct.

Which outcome at the convention is the cynical supporting one?

You don't vote GOP, just continue to spew right wing propaganda? Cool story.

This has been a known fact since Obamas first election cycle.

They roll out the clown car each election cycle. These guys are no more embarrassing that Cain and Palin and Bachmann

Have people forgotten Michele Bachmann

I do my best to.

I think Trump is going to come to the convention with close to enough votes to win the nomination outright. In any case, he'd have the clear plurality of the primary votes. If the GOP establishment uses procedural means to keep him from being the nominee despite his widespread popular support within the party just because he's shut them out of power were he to win (and let's face it, they're not going to nominate Kasich and Cruz isn't beating Hillary), it will confirm to me the depth of their willingness to ignore their constituency if they think it will help them maintain some grip on power.

What the heck do you mean you don't vote GOP? You make ridiculous arguments for their positions on every issue, and you've been embarrassing yourself by openly cheerleading for the current frontrunner. In 2012, you were clearly supporting Romney in the general election.

If TCK doesn't vote GOP he doesn't vote at all. What other alternative is there?

I think you have me considered with somebody else there Jackie. I didn't vote for any of them. And the only candidate who might get my vote this year is Trump. But we'll see how things play out.

So you're not sharp enough to vote for the party that reflects your views? Dude, you tow the R line on every issue and vote what, independent?

***shrugs***

But I don't tow the line and yes I am an independent. But you keep putting your faith in the DNC, lobbyists, and political dynasties. I'm sure that will turn out well.

Lol, the pic is not even of a handshake I posted and no one is mad about a handshake. At least fucking pretend you know shit about what is upsetting about obama. Read my previous post and get learned.

here is some more
This week, President Obama visited Cuba. There, he was snubbed on the tarmac by tin-pot dictator Raul Castro; he took a staged photo before a massive building-sized mural of genocidal murderer Che Guevara; he smiled and bowed to Castro when they met. Castro treated Obama to a harangue about America's moral inferiority, blustering, "We defend human rights." He adds, "Actually, we find it inconceivable that a government does not defend and ensure the right to health care, any patient, social security, food provision and development, equal pay and the rights of children." Obama nodded along, then stated placidly, "I personally would not disagree with that." He then added, idiotically, "The goal of the human rights dialogue is not for the United States to dictate to Cuba how they should govern themselves, but to make sure that we are having a frank and candid conversation around this issue. And hopefully that we can learn from each other."
Then, hours later in a press briefing, the State Department did not directly say anything about the crackdown on hundreds of dissidents who were jailed just before his arrival. The Cubans arrested one of the dissidents' leaders scheduled to meet with Obama. Ben Rhodes, Obama's national security advisor, shrugged all of that off, stating that the United States understands that the Cuban government sees these political prisoners as criminals under Cuban law. Obama himself did not directly say whether he would give Castro a list of political prisoners for release.

All I got from that wall of text was as long as it's a republican, it's ok.
