This is one of the most insane and anti-scientific things ever spoken.

If I have cancer, and then eat a ton of steak, and then my cancer goes away, my individual experience is not good evidence that steak cured my cancer. It is entirely possible that the cancer could have gone away on its own, or that there was something else that occurred which cured the cancer.

If you want to determine whether steak is actually effective at curing cancer, the only way to do so is to study whether it is effective at doing so on a population-wide basis. Only then can you determine whether there is actually a causal relationship between these events.

If masks don't work on a population level, but work only on an individual (ie: anecdotal) level, then they don't work at all. Full stop. You might as well use healing crystals.
