Gloves that solve the eye poking situation

I know that people have probably thought of this before, but why doesn't the ufc implement the kind of gloves that taekwondoe uses? It would sure prevent eye pokes, while still letting fighters grapple with ease (I would assume that adjustments would be made, like freeing up the thumb etc.)

Yeah, I can't fathom why the UFC just won't go ahead and use the Pride style glove. I mean they own the whole kit and caboodle, right?

Those gloves aren't as durable as the gloves used in MMA today, they would probably tear to pieces on the ground IMO. Pride had it right

The thumb is still an issue, and the thumb is 1 of the main culprits in eyepoking, but def a step in the right direction.

they are just to cute together, lol

wow I never really took much notice of the Pride gloves, I cant see how grapplers would lose much to this style of glove, I think they are more leaning towards gloves that hold your hand in a fist wit just enough tension to close your fist when relaxed
