Giving Conor no chance is insane

Lol you forgetting Nate had no sparring and it took him a round to figure out his timing and distance? Also Conor landed some nice flush shots but you're exaggerating a ton.

Nate, camp or not, almost always gets hit.

How am I exaggerating? Nates facial expressions and tensing up after some of those shots says it all. He can try to brush it off with all that post-fight bravado but Conor checked him.

He absolutely lit up Nate that first round and that was the slowest, unsharpest Conor we've ever seen. Nates face reminded me of Gsp after one of his decision wins. At least twice i remember Nate taking a shot and looking like he was on the edge of "rocked"

Conor, you have to agree is one the smarter guys in this game and although both Diaz brothers are warriors, they are no puzzle.

People seem completely oblivious to the fact that when you put on size like that, it takes time to adjust to and Conor this time will have had ample time come July.

Not an McG fanboy by no means, I just think its ridiculous to count him out of this fight, with all due respect to Nate.

why such a long post? you thread title was enough, by going into the above rant you just empowered the trolls. you're right , any idiot that says conor has no chance is biased, or an idiot or a troll.

yea but this wasnt a decision win he ate his best punches and coulda finished him any way he wanted to and submitted him with ease and i have to disagree about him being a smarter guy in the game.. who the fuck goes 145 to 170 with no training or shit and then his plan was to ko him by swinging full power for a whole round... how did he think he woulda had any cardio at all especially when his cardio is already questionable and he has no heart at all.
yea conor is fun to watch if your whole crybaby thing was trying to say that.. but you need jesus the only chance i give him is to out point the diaz brother and run because his wrestling sucks to beat him by lay and prey he can do a carlos condit forsure and fight for 3 rounds not 5 so he doesnt fuck it up.

Sherdog is full of morons. Every year dozens of fights occur, and everyone backs one fighter. They lose and then say they cannot possibly win again. Look at RDA a few years back. Everyone on Sherdog called him a can.

The reality is that the rematch will be close. Nate will be better and so will Conor. Nate only had 10 days notice. Most fight fans know nothing about fighting however… Conor spent an entire camp training for a man with a completely different skill set and range.

With a full camp specifically for Diaz, Conor can absolutely beat him. This is still a close fight. I think Diaz wins, but only just.

My prediction: Conor takes the first three rounds and gets stopped via punches in the fourth.

Full camp Diaz will not have a slow start, Conor will connect with less, you do the math.
That's a shitty gif.

Conor is one of the smarter fighters eh?

Then why does he throw those wasteful kicks and gas himself out? Why would he shoot on a BJJ black belt with slick submission skills? Why would he keep his hands by his waist against a crisp boxer? Why doesn't he use a jab?

I don't think he's a smart fighter at all. I do think he's a smart business man though

You got this covered, ima take the rest of the night off. :D

Dude, just face it.. there is nothing Conor has short of a freak accident or a backstage fight fixing by Dana that would allow him to win the rematch

He absolutely lit up Nate that first round

Citation needed.

Conor only landed 37% of his strikes and only landed 5 more than Nate

and that was the slowest, unsharpest Conor we've ever seen.

Nate came out slow too, on the count that he took the fight on 11 days notice

Nates face reminded me of Gsp after one of his decision wins.

Blood means nothing. Some people bleed easier than others.

At least twice i remember Nate taking a shot and looking like he was on the edge of "rocked"

Nate was never remotely rocked.

Not an McG fanboy by no means

L O L

Shit opinions

Shit thread

He has a chance for sure.

But you also have to factor in that this was a NO CAMP Diaz he fought in the first fight, and McGregor hit him with everything he had, and could not stop, or even slow him down.

Now, imagine Diaz with a full TEN WEEK camp.

Gotta laugh at this "no camp diaz" UMMM the guy just fought in december. End of december if i'm not mistaken. He was still in shape from the johnson fight. So stop with this, no camp diaz. sounds redic...

Nuthuggery aside, if you are being honest with yourself, how will Conor beat him?

Is he going to outpoint a cardio machine over 5 rounds? Nope
Is he going to KO him? Nope
Is he going to submit him? Lol fuck no!

So how does he win?

If you think 5-6 punches difference is "absolutely lit up" then I have some bad news for you

Fight metrics are notorious for not being accurate. Especially when in noting the types of punches landed. A big straight left of conor's compared to a jab by nate are not the same thing. Conor landed the far heavier punches. Did they give nate credit for a punch that was slipped by conor??

lot of the same people said nate had no chance in the first one, you get used to it

Lel. Full camp diaz is a god apparently TS. They are one dimensional as you can get. Come with a gameplan that has been written and easily used and you've got yourself a win. There's a reason why they are journeyman and not top #5 material (nick isn't even top 15)

I dont believe in NO CAMP Diaz. Nate said it himself, hes always training and always in shape. He looked like he always did. He took shots and he gave. You can act like Conor didnt put Nate on check and Nates post fight behavior would certainly have you believe that but i think Nate just didnt want to give Conor his props because of the "Nicks little brother" insults... Or maybe it was the balloon animals remark.

Nate said in the post fight talk with Rogan that he wasn't in fight shape and that he had to start off slow and pace himself. He didn't look to me like always, he took a lot of shots that he doesn't normally take. I'm not saying he's unhittable just saying that he took way more then he normally does, Cloner was T-ing off

No nuthuggery here i assure you. I think Conor goes for the kill within 3 rounds. He does what he always does, outside of last fight, which is snipe his prey. This time with just more measure and Nate is not above being rocked or put away.

He did light him up. Just because they had similar "punches landed" numbers doesnt mean their punches had the same effect. Nate was visibly a mess, Conor was almost as clean as before the fight began. How many times have you seen Nate look that busted up btw?

Ah yes.. because fighters just stay in shape 2 months after their fight

If only bodies worked like that, you can just get fit once and 2 months later you'll still be in shape since you were two months ago.. and by that logic, 4 months down the line you are still in shape because two months ago you were in shape because you got in shape two months prior to that

Conor loses 7/10 times against Nate but hey a 30% chance is better than nothing.

All he said was that he didnt get any rounds in and thats why he had the slow start but that doesnt mean he wasnt in fight shape. That could actually mean that he was fresher than he would have otherwise been and it also may have been what allowed to him to absorb those shots so well.

I was going to say he has a punchers chance, but I don't even think he has that.
