Maybe, but I would guess the biggest reason is not burning calories all day training anymore, and some of them don't adjust their food intake to their not working out as much.Do you think steroids are a contributing factor?

It happens to a much lesser extent to middle aged people generally, when their metabolism slows down but not their diets.
