I don't know, maybe it's a common American thing to fall off a cliff like that, but I've only seen it a couple of times in person.
Usually with active women that got married and had three or more kids in as many years in their 30s, never recovering and getting back in shape and with the subsequent lifestyle changes having a bunch of kids involved.
Seems doubtful it's related to her political stance, unless she's advocating for big women.
