News Gillispie vs Lee Official, 244.

Lee wins by RNC, i think he has a big advantage in size and strength.

Lee can barely make weight.

Gillespie is cutting weight too, but probably less than Lee.

Gillespie is probably the better wrestler with cardio adventage.

But Lee is complete fighter and if he can stop few takedowns he can get the adventage.

Lee is strong, trains in Tristar now and his game is improving.
Same with Gillespie, I know he improved striking since his lay off.

Gillespie 29-28 is the safest bet.

Kevin Lee misses weight, gets RNC'd in the 2nd, will blame being outwrestled and gassing on weight cut.

This is more interesting than the "BMF "Main" event

I’m gonna have to get a keg, 8 ball and oz of weed for this one.

Damn why cry over solid match making. It may be more interesting but noway it will be as entertaining. Plus I don’t see how a squash match is interesting, Gregor is gonna give him the viper treatment.

Fucking yes, lets go Gregor!

All you need to compare is their ears to know who will win this one

Lots of people are sleeping on him so the odds will prob be godly

Silly short sighted mma fans

How is Lee a complete fighter? His standup sucks

No it doesn't

He has very good kicks, good jab and straight right. I think his defense could use some work and he gets a bit spazzy in there trying to force but I think that's been largely due to not having a proper coach to keep him in check

People forget he outstruck Barboza for 5 rounds. He was outstriking RDA, he was getting the better of Tony for the first half of the fight.

Even against Al, during the first 3 rounds he was fighting relatively even with him on the feet. It wasn't until the championship rounds that he gassed and al took over

All in all I'd say he has solid kicks and his boxing is better than it gets credit for. The idea that he has shitty striking is verifiably nonsense

He doesn't have a good jab at all. Anyone with a good jab doesn't struggle to maintain the distance against Iaquinta like he did. Even Khabib was lighting him up on the feet with his jab. His right is mediocre as well, his technique is terrible on them. He has decent low kicks that's about it

Barboza always gets outstruck be fighters with a strong wrestling pressure game. This was true back when varner knocked him out and still is. RDA and Tony both outstruck him. Tony is a slow starter, he was piecing him up for most of the fight before his desperation set in

Even against Al, during the first 3 rounds he was fighting relatively even with him on the feet. It wasn't until the championship rounds that he gassed and al took over

This is mostly hogwash. He had some moments early but there were so few with how much he was looking to wrestle it isn't worth mentioning. In the prolonged sequences on the feet he was getting touched up bad.

He has decent leg/body kicks. That's about it. His boxing is very mediocre at best

I’d like this to be a 5 rounder. The 3 will favor Lee.

Man buns, or mop tops, or whatever you'd prefer to call them, are the pinnacle of modern comfort-living bitch, but Gillespie is pretty solid and this matchup will be a great test. I think he outworked Lee.
