I think if we're just looking at how they fight, I'd agree that burns is a tough match up for Khamzat, but it's really hard to overlook Khamzat's massive height and reach advantage, which I think will be a big factor.

Yeah, I'm taking Khamzat, but we haven't seen that much striking from him, if Burns can neutralize the grappling who knows, Khamzat has very little experience fighting someone like that. That being said everything we've seen from him on the feet looks really good, we're definitely gonna learn a lot about Khamzat in this fight.

On one hand I would love it if Khamzat just smashed Burns like he did to all previous opponents.

On the other hand, I wanna see how good Khamzat's chin and cardio is. Burns is a good test for the chin, because he has great power at WW. His strikes are also wicked fast for a guy who's sorta built like a tree trunk.

burn was a terrible match up for usman and we saw it in the first round but burn is also a small WW with no chin
Technically Burns should of styled on Usman but he got rocked by every jab and got knocked out. We knew that Usman wouldn't try to wrestle burn since he never even try to ground and pound against a gasssed maia and just ran from every grappling exchange and we knew his striking is ass so burn should have won if it was not for his chin and size.
For khamzat we dont know were his striking and willingness to engage an elite bjj artist is so we can only speculate but burn is naturally a good counter to wrestler. Thats why he is consider a bad match up for khamzat

But you just said Burns is a small WW with no chin. And Khamzat is a huge WW who's already finished two MWs in the UFC. Yeah, it's possible Burns could submit him, but I'm thinking Khamzat's submission defense is probably better than Usman's and he'll have no fear on the ground or feet with a guy who got KO'd by Dan Hooker.

He's not a guy who'll throw up a triangle or arm bar, but Burns' BJJ from bottom is mostly defensive, and he's great at it too.

We know what happens when a bigger wrestler with very good top control fights a BJJ with "great defense" from his back but not much willingness to do risk submissions: UD win for the wrestler all day.

It has nothing to do with what Colby says. Its been established for years that Dustin is naturally a heavy set guy. Weighing between 182-200 pounds when he's not fighting. Colby weighs 183 lbs. Dustin is either the same weight as Colby, but weight bullies in a lighter weight class, or is considerably heavier.

Well I'm not gonna crap on Burns because this guy should and deserves to get more money, as should most fighters. And unlike other top fighters, Burns is willing to risk a lot and fight an undefeated monster like Khamzat. Burns is ranked number 2 and willing to fight number 11.

Meanwhile the number 1 ranked WW, Colby, is begging for a fight against LW Dustin Poirier.

Burns should not be 2. Why is burns #2? Please enlighten me. And Colby wants a grudge match payday against a “LW” who weighs more than he does. He also rag dolls people and almost beat Usman twice which is worth more than wins over overrated ranked guys…..uclown

We knew that. Khamzat seems very eager to fight. I think it's the UFC's fault he doesn't have a Cerrone level of activity. They could have had Khamzat fight Magny any time they want. They see his hype and they are playing it safe.
