Media Gilbert Burns: I see a KO or a sub win. Round 2 or 3.

"Horrible matchup" based on what? I know there's a lot of hype about Khamzat and still some questions about him, but what glaring weakness of his can Burns exploit? Wouldn't Burns also be a horrible match-up for Usman?
I think Khamzat will win, but Burns is a bad matchup compared to the other top WW's Khamzat could fight for obvious reasons, he was a bad matchup for Usman too which is why he hurt Usman worse than anyone in his career

We knew that. Khamzat seems very eager to fight. I think it's the UFC's fault he doesn't have a Cerrone level of activity. They could have had Khamzat fight Magny any time they want. They see his hype and they are playing it safe.

This is one of the most exciting fights of the year, Burns is a horrible matchup for Khamzat, if Khamzat runs through him, his hype will be the biggest we've seen since Conor

I think if we're just looking at how they fight, I'd agree that burns is a tough match up for Khamzat, but it's really hard to overlook Khamzat's massive height and reach advantage, which I think will be a big factor.

He's putting his ranking and everything he's worked for on the line against a guy who isn't in the top ten. That's something countless guys wouldn't risk in other divisions. He should be paid for stepping up. Good for him.
But it also confirms the risk they associate with Khamzat. If he was all hype it wouldn't be a problem because it would be easy work. That many fighters turning it down because they consider it too risky just validates how they perceive Khamzat's skill set. They know they can lose and don't want to risk it without getting paid more. While others would rather just turn it down completely.

For example O'Malley isn't asking for more money to fight Kris because he is considered easy work, the top 10 wouldn't turn down a fight with Kris but they will with Khamzat in their division. These are the type of details that fans miss that only fighters may notice.

I think the size discrepancy is going to look comical on fight night.

if Burns stays on the outside it will be

Burns bjj will only be effective on top imo….I don’t think Burns will be on top in this fight …..Chimaev by second round TKo after the the grappling exhaust Burns
He's not a guy who'll throw up a triangle or arm bar, but Burns' BJJ from bottom is mostly defensive, and he's great at it too.

I think burns will quickly realize how useless his BJJ is against top level wresters, especially nowadays.

Burns is just messing with you. You all fell for it! Ha ha!
He's ending Khamzat round one.

I agree….I just meant Chimaev likely won’t be in much danger if he’s on top …. I can’t wait for this fucking fight

Burns said he wanted more money and better contract to take this fight.
He also thinks he will win.
Khamzat gonna make Burns and Ali pay for holding him back this long.

Ali manages Burns, and stopped managing Khamzat a year ago. Not sure what you mean about how Burns is going to make Ali pay for holding him back?

That seemed obvious from the start. He accepted on SM. But then his mgmt got into it, and did their job. They apparently negotiated a number in private that he was happy enough with.

i like burn but his lack of chin and is small reach is just a recipe to get knocked out
