I thought this was the GFL schtick all along? This was that “new org that’s coming that will be for the fighters with revenue sharing” that seemed to never take off the last 4 - 5 years.

Maybe it was purses + revenue share before. It sounds like they are trying to get fighters to proceed with no guarantee pay, this is likely so if they can secure the arena, sponsors, and broadcast rights they can at least have some fights without having to a guaranteed purse.

I question if there is an athletic commission on the US that would allow that though.

GFL do not have raised huge amount of money as they wished from investors, good because they would had been only a bad investment.

When you don't have a lot of money to burn millions with zero profitability, what do you do ?

You will tell fighters this, we will make the bouts, and you till a fifty fifty percentage. You generate 10 dollars we take 5. You generate 100 we take 50. It would had been attractive with a huge audience, since it won't sell obviously in advance, it's not an attractive offer, but a step back.

Fuck GFL, it's not worth our time. PFL is going down as well. Only ACA and KSW are stable for the next 10 years. One is doing better but still there are things to improve.

GFL will die before it even started, as a kid inside a pregnant lady that was hit by a baseball hat. You don't need to start the race when you know you will lose it in advance, it's already over.
