Now when they needed to put up the show money in escrow to get a license in Cali. to move forward with the event there was none. My guess was this main investor was willing to invest if they got some type of media deal in place or a large paying sponsor and they don't seem to have that and without that your only revenue is scraps from sponsors and gate money. That isn't enough to pay the names you got on these events.

If it were serious, you would have had investors before the draft (not even sports-themed venture capital funds), and the teams would be random cities like Oklahoma City, Manchester, and some Central Asian or Middle Eastern capital cities, according to where your investors are from. You will also have either a broadcasting agreement, a small venue with good production (like PFL in Orlando), a betting company, or a crypto thing sponsor
The guys did an AI fake draft without sponsors, and people thought it was bigger than KSW, Oktagon, Rizin, or other local shows with stadiums, broadcasting deals, sponsors, etc.
