that's all? I've heard about that but that's the only job they can do? Kinda limited.herd sheep
*see abovethat's all? I've heard about that but that's the only job they can do? Kinda limited.
Humans have been friends with dogs for THOUSANDS of years. There's thousands of years old graves they have found with humans and their dog buried together clearly signifying a close bond between human and dog.
Their "culture" is sickening.
I suppose.*see above
the estimate is 50 thousand years. I'm sure, like all stats, that will vary widely depending on your source.Tens of thousands of years, most likely. The ancient Egyptians & Persians loved dogs too, maybe more than Europeans do/did.
Spot on. It was in fact white southern Americans like John P. Colby that started fighting Pit Bulls in this country. Established dogmen like Don Mayfield just carried on the tradition within the white southerner community and it continues to this day.It has more ties to southern white American culture. It's does marginally make It's way to impoverished Urban areas. However, as an organized illicit sub culture it's ran by the south & rural White Americans at a much larger scale.
Just inner city & or African American cases of famous athletes are going to get sensationalized a lot more. Like G-Man & Michael Vick.
Yeah i had to laugh too myself when it was presented as a "problem with black culture" on the 1st page.Spot on. It was in fact white southern Americans like John P. The point i was making was about different subcultures having different relationships to dogs than the avg western culture. I only knew of the dog fighting culture through Vick and McClellan, two young black men from the urban lower income demographic. What I said wasn’t meant to be a definitive history of dog fighting in America.Yeah i had to laugh too myself when it was presented as a "problem with black culture" on the 1st page.
Im like huh wtf ??? Lol
It's not tied to Black culture or African American culture because you saw 2 famous black dudes do it on the news over multiple decades. The point i was making was about different subcultures having different relationships to dogs than the avg western culture. Then you can call out that poster. My commentary was not on black culture writ large. It's not tied to Black culture or African American culture because you saw 2 famous black dudes do it on the news over multiple decades.
I would disagree on framing it in such a way.
Also, a poster literally picked it up and ran with it saying "Thats the problem with their culture"
I can post how I like in my thread. Or about a subject I am more versed in.Then you can call out that poster. My commentary was not on black culture writ large.
Well you clearly referenced my post lol. No need to be a dick about it, that’s all.I can post how I like in my thread. Or about a subject I am more versed in.
