And the land wasn’t part of any sovereign nation and therefore it’s not black and white as you’d want. They were attacked and the idea that they just hand back this disputed territory to the attackers to put Israel at greater risk just isn’t as solid as you want it to be. And yes, that includes the West Bank.

Again, the more Israel gets attacked the worse it gets for the other side.

Most reporting that comes through the US, especially late last year, come from Israeli sources that are questionable at best. I find some compelling evidence in Israel's claims about hospital tunnels, but am ultimately waiting for post-war investigations since it's hard to assess the sites currently. And despite the lack of investigations for 10/7 so far, a lot of the first handing reporting around the start of the war has been good.
