Grey Worm should have killed Jon immediately after Jon confessed. Maybe Tyrion too just to clean things up. But he didn't and once he didn't the negotiations with the Northern Forces outside the castle had to take place.A lot of this is irrelevant anyway.. Grey Worm has literally no reason at all to listen to any one of those fucking houses. When they all pulled that shit he could have just been all ‘ok, that’s great for you guys. I’m going to go execute Jon and slit Tyrion’s throat right here in front of you then bounce. And if you have a problem with that, get at me, I’ll be in Naarth.’
All those other houses are in Westeros, their attachment to the place is set in stone. Grey Worms investment and allegiance to anything in Westeros flew off in Drogons Dragon paw with a knife in her heart. All he gave a shit about was justice/revenge. Instead, after a poorly written handful of speeches he shrugs and is all like ‘oh, well why didn’t you guys say so earlier.’
Just awful awful execution of the conclusions.
I’m still cracking up over how in the span of like 15 minutes in the show we go from Jon making out with Dany in the throne room then shanking her, to Jon as a prisoner, to Tyrion who Grey Worm despises snake oiling the new leaders of Westeros into voting on a king, to Jon peacing out as a free man on the docks of Kingslanding like nothing even happened.
I mean, thank god for an entire filler episode 1 of complete useless horseshit amiright? Its hilarious the shit they fast forwarded thru Vs the shit they spent time on.
As I said in a previous thread -no creator/writer of books or a series should ever willingly want to hand their life’s work over to these shit heels again. It was near painful to see how lost they were at the end of this thing.
Grey Worm is not about meaningless wars actually. Sure they will willingly die for a leader but that does not mean they want to fight all the time. He and his people are more protection and allegiance based than marauders which one might call the Dothraki. So I see no issue with Grey Worm wanting to negotiate and end to the conflict rather than, yet another war. He was focused on wanting to fulfill his pledge to Missandei and get her back to Naath.
But yes, the show runners horribly rushed this season. They simply could not wind it up quick enough despite HBO glad to fund more episodes. It was clear they have Star Wars and Star Wars only on the mind. Sad.
