the destination isnt the problem- the journey is. This video sums it up perfectly.
This is why pivotal moments like the Red Wedding, Ned's beheading, Oberyn's death, etc, were satisfying and fulfilling even when the viewer was initially upset by the result. Once you digest it, you realize the story naturally flowed to the proper conclusion within the narrative. Daenerys' heel turn is botched and messy. What should have been a powerful and bittersweet conclusion was ultimately just boring.
I do agree Drogon's part was the highlight of the episode. They gave him a great puppy dog reaction. Best actor of the finale.
Legendary threadomfg lol... once you see it!! <45><45>
Jesus Christ. Imagine being one of those people. The only thing that mattered in season 8:

Grey Worm should have killed Jon immediately after Jon confessed. Maybe Tyrion too just to clean things up. But he didn't and once he didn't the negotiations with the Northern Forces outside the castle had to take place.
Grey Worm is not about meaningless wars actually. Sure they will willingly die for a leader but that does not mean they want to fight all the time. He and his people are more protection and allegiance based than marauders which one might call the Dothraki. So I see no issue with Grey Worm wanting to negotiate and end to the conflict rather than, yet another war. He was focused on wanting to fulfill his pledge to Missandei and get her back to Naath.
But yes, the show runners horribly rushed this season. They simply could not wind it up quick enough despite HBO glad to fund more episodes. It was clear they have Star Wars and Star Wars only on the mind. Sad.
You understood. Stop picking nitsNo, Jon having Targaryen blood is a major plot point. There's a difference.
lol to be fair didn't Bran say he didn't want to be king when Tyrion said he didn't want to be hand or something like that?
Jesus Christ. Imagine being one of those people.
I can appreciate the idea of sharing the experience, but when you all do that jumping and shouting thing like after Arya kills the Night King, how can you possibly analyze content when you're hiveminding like that?If you’re at a bar to watch that show.. you don’t give a fuck about that show.
Loved this episode up until Drogon picked up Dany and flew away, then it started getting a little weird. Grey Worm should have killed Jon IMO. Arya’s ending was also weird, felt like it came out of nowhere. Loved Brienne writing Jamie’s good deeds in the book. I was sceptical about Jamie’s arc last episode but now I am pleased at how it turned out as a whole. It would have sucked if he had just gone down as “the Kingslayer”.
Overall I think I’m higher than most on the ending and they done a pretty good job. Would have looked even better with more episode and better pacing throughout.
Oh and one other thing, ROFL at the lords all pissing themselves at the thought of giving peasants the right to vote.
