Cohen has always struck me as a genuine thug. Maybe the the NY accent...
He'd hire the same goon that threatened Stormy and her baby.

He probably also made a note of those Nigerian brothers from Empire as well as their cheap price per outing.

There's a clear jealousy and racial aspect to his obama hate. Oh and lol at his sat scores being so trash he has threatened to sue if anyone releases.
When I say conman, I’m talking about a man who declares himself brilliant but directed me to threaten his high school, his colleges, and the College Board to never release his grades or SAT scores. As I mentioned, I’m giving the Committee today copies of a letter I sent at Mr. Trump’s direction threatening these schools with civil and criminal actions if Mr. Trump’s grades or SAT scores were ever disclosed without his permission. These are Exhibit 6. The irony wasn’t lost on me at the time that Mr. Trump in 2011 had strongly criticized President Obama for not releasing his grades. As you can see in Exhibit 7, Mr. Trump declared “Let him show his records” after calling President Obama “a terrible student.”

"He once asked me if I could name a country run by a black person that wasn’t a “shithole.” This was when Barack Obama was President of the United States"

Well Trump wasnt wrong about Murka being a zhithole was he?????

<Lmaoo><Lmaoo><Lmaoo><Lmaoo><Lmaoo><Lmaoo>
We sure got a lot of dumbshits here susceptible to troll farm trolls.

Is that a mugshot? Looks like a white supremacist fucktard.

If he gets disbarred, he could get a job sucking Trump's little dick in between shifts from porn actresses and Playboy Playmates of the Year.

I wonder what trump is more insecure about? His actual wealth or his sat scores?

Just reading this objectively, I think a point needs to be made.

Several pro-Trump commentators have said that the opening statement evidences that Trump didn't direct Cohen to lie. That's ignoring the context. Cohen says that Trump didn't give him express instructions to lie and that's not how he operates. Let's assume he's telling the truth.

I don't understand how anyone would expect Trump to do something so dumb like that. No reasonable client would expressly instruct their lawyer to lie. You don't say, "Mr Attorney, I did it but please tell the court I didn't." You say it in the way Trump allegedly did - indirectly, hint-hint, with the "I take it you know what I mean" look.

On that basis, I don't think the buzzfeed report is wrong. On the other hand, I can understand why Mueller would "dispute" it - it's a technical point on whether what Trump communicated to Cohen constitute instructions to lie, or whether Cohen misinterpreted it and lied. Maybe Mueller doesn't think it's a strong basis for a case against Trump.

BUT if what Cohen says is true, then the intent is painfully obvious.

There was a comment from rosentein that alludes to what would be needed to charge or even accuse someone(say trump) of a crime. I think they would need solid and no doubt type of evidence if the special counsel came after trump. even if Trump escapes any serious legal problems from the Russia stuff there's still the NY stuff that could fuck him up legally too. its not over. they might even charge him under seal till after he's done being president. congress could refer to the doj about a lot of the stuff Cohen says about trump.

I'm not familiar with US criminal law but beyond a reasonable doubt is the typical benchmark a prosecution would have to meet in a criminal case in other non-US jurisdictions. So if it's the same, Rosenstein's last sentence is kinda stating the obvious.

The whole problem I have with Cohen is that his evidence is uncorroborated where it counts. He didn't take client meeting notes, he didn't record any of the racist remarks Trump allegedly made, he didn't discharge himself when asked to carry out instructions he found questionable etc.

Not to say Trump did/didn't do any of these things but it shows you the type of man/lawyer Cohen is/was.

Having read the whole thing, the only part that I really believe Cohen 100% without evidence is that Trump never intended to win, at least at the start. He's struck me as a typical businessman, and is driven by the collection of trophies and winning everything, regardless of whether it's actually worth winning.

Ironically, winning the presidency put a greater spotlight on Trump than he wanted, hence his current legal troubles.

Just some regular old witness intimidation and tampering. Standard mob tactics.

As PH / others have said:
The modern GOP isn’t even trying to hide its criminal nature.
I think the mob is smarter than this, lol.

I don't I know nothing about that.
-- Oh! I was in the Olive Oil business with his father, but that was a long time ago.
I don't know nothing about no Godfather, I've got my own family, Senator.

A Dui mugshot

The Trumpbots are in full retreat right now waiting for Fox and others to give them their responses. lol.

Not that its any surprise but Trumps Wealth... A lie

Trumps intellect... A lie (not really as no one would believed it to begin with as we hear him speak and see what he writes.)

the biggest exposure from the Cohen statement I can see is his indicating Trump lied about his financial situation not to Forbes to get ranked higher but to Banks to get loans, such as in the Buffalo Bills attempted purchase. If you lie on Bank filings, that is a felony and a crime that is typically always prosecuted and it whether you end up getting the loan or not.

I am sure the Southern District and maybe others, are getting that Bank Application record and will be digging into it.

As many have said over and over (Dershowitz amongst them), Trump's business dealings, his University, his Campaign, his Charity all are the biggest risks he has. I bet they are all ripe with false statements filed to various agencies where those statements would be crimes if incorrect. Cohen will point in the direction and Alan Weisselberg will put the bow on it.

I heard it said on one show that Prosecutors consider it the gold standard if you can get an accused lawyer OR accountant to participate in a prosecution. Nothing more damning.
