My question is why is Rep. Gaetz being told by Trump and his people to say this sort of threatening stuff towards Cohen the day before his testimony if they aren't worried about what he has to say. Thought this whole thing tomorrow would be nonsense...now, not so sure Cohen won't say something that's a problem for Trump.

I feel like if anything good was going to come out it would have already leaked. Luckily we don't have to do much guessing will know tomorrow.

I think it is Mueller and co who would want this to go through now before all the testimony.

They want it clear that despite really having nothing left to lose (he's going to jail) or save (disbarred), he is still testifying.

Mueller isn't going to just take Cohen's spoken word for anything. He can only use whatever Cohen might provide that proves crimes were committed. Taped conversations for instance. Cohen can accuse Trump of anything he wants, but that would just get him in deeper trouble, and would be of zero use to Mueller. He might have something on Trump.
