Credit to Uncle Chael - I didn't think of this match up myself. It's definitely the best fight to be made outside of UFC, bigger than any HW fight that UFC could make. How do you see this going if PFL signs Gable? Honestly I think Gable murks Francis.

Francis got knocked the absolute fuck out a fight ago. Steveson (sic) hasn't beat or fought anyone even closely to notice (outside of wrestling).

But sure, I would watch. Like I would watch Jake Paul vs Joshua.

Gable has fought like 2 regional nobodies how TF is him vs Ngannou the best anything?

Does it have some potential? Sure.

This is like telling a decent minor league team "yall just beat the Savanna Bananas, you're ready for the World Series!"

Word on the street is he is already signed to the UFC and they’re letting him develop a bit in the regionals.
Wouldn't be totally crazy. He's already had contracts with their sister company.

This is a bad idea , Gable is the best heavyweight prospect in recent memory and putting him in with a very experienced guy who can shut his lights off could ruin his career

I might be misremembering, but they put Ishii who was an Olympic gold medalist Judoka in the ring with Fedor after he had like 5 fights and I don’t think he ever recovered

Why is the UFC not signing Gable yet… I would hate to see the best HW prospect in many years end up signing outside of the premier MMA organization.

It's the Bo Nickal effect.

If you put him with cans in order to get him actual experience, the fans will grow tired and the hype fizzles away. If you put him with the bigger names before he's ready you risk killing the hype and possibly career.

Whichever way that goes half the fans will resent him over it, despite nothing he did wrong.

I think the UFC is hoping to treat him like Brock and strap the rocket to his ass but not ready to pull that trigger yet.

gable's only had two fights against two dorks. feeding him to ngannou right now is retardedly insane. wouldn't happen and makes no sense. let gable have 2-3 more fights in the regional circuit, in a year or so maybe the ufc signs him and puts him up against a solid mid level guy like marcin tybura and go from there.
