Great scene and BBT sent chills down my spine. But that would never happen in real life. Maybe in a small town with no backup but even a beta cop wouldnt take a threat like that.

Cops now a days, look for any reason to put you down.

Yeah, don't care, it was awesome.

If I had to stop watching television shows and movies that weren't realistic, I'd pretty much have to stop watching television shows and movies.

C-Span has multiple channels now so variety shouldn't become an issue. :icon_chee
 
Just watched the first episode. Love it. One of the best premiere episodes I've seen in a long time. Pretty much know what's going to happen due to the movie but it was still riveting. The cast is superb especially the magnetic Billy Bob Thornton. Can't wait for next week.
 
I also really enjoyed the premiere, new Tuesday show to watch every week, nice.
 
Really enjoyed the premiere. Hopefully the show carries the same quality throughout the season.
 
Premiere was badass, I agree.

It may have even surpassed my expectations. Very excited for this show. The movie is one of my all time favorites, and so far the show seemed to capture that spirit perfectly.

edit: I also didn't mind the scene where BBT's character backed the cop down just with his ominous speech. It's hard to think of words that could actually get an armed police officer to back down just on their own merit, but that speech was pretty damn good.

My wife said if she was a cop and someone said that to her she's say "Deuces!". lol. I'd have to agree.

As I said previously, the cojones grandes made me laugh and yeah, how would you intimidate someone with a gun and authority with nothing other than bravado?

In my experience people in Arizona are more up front with confrontation. Which I prefer. You can continue on with your condescending remarks if you like but I've lived all over this country and Fargo by has the shittiest most self entitled people. One mans honest opinion.
 
Does anybody know where I can catch the first episode online? perhaps hulu, or something along those lines?

Its not condescension. you said you hate passive aggression and im here telling you why I don't agree. Like I said, if you are complaining about how ALL people in a specific area are one way to your face and another way behind your back, you may be the problem. its like 2 abrasive family members I have who have issue with everyone else in the family. these 2 cant see the forest for the trees. they are the issue, especially when the whole of the rest of the family agrees why those two specifically are jackasses.

Fargo is often in top 10 in the nation for a lot of things.

Claim Fargo is whatever. I really don't care. im just giving my opinion. I was in AZ in the Phoenix area for work for about 2 months years ago and i'll tell you straight up, they weren't exactly the cream of Americas crop themselves. a lot of angry dinks. not everyone but a lot. I have friends who live their, from Fargo, who agree.

What part of AZ are you experienced with? I've lived and spent time all over the state...
 
Just finished the pilot. Fucking hell, I love the violence in this show. The sound scores are perfectly timed, sometimes before the violent scenes happen I laugh because of it. Hahaha
 
Yeah, I think it was the score that reminded me of Twin Peaks.
 
My fave scene was when he hit his wife with a fucking hammer and then doing it over and over. I was laughing as I watched him do it hahaha and it was because the sound score set my mood. And the wife's character being a total bitch didn't help.
