Fuji BJJ Gi Review

hi guys,i am going to learn BJJ soon, so it's time for me to get a gi,from what i read Fuji seems to be a good choice without costing hellot of bucks.
I am 5 foot 10/11, weight about 210 now(hopefully will go down to 200 within next month), so should i go A-3 or A-4?

I'd guess an A4. Wash it in cold and then dry it checking it every 15 minutes until you get the proper fit.

Going to purchase a FUJI gi also and need help with sizing.

Height: 5'8
Weight: 165lb
Competition Weight: 155lbs

Masakatsu- would prob get an A2. I'm 5'6'' 140 and i got an A1. When I put it on b4 washing it it fit good, but just a tad on the big side. It will shrink when you wash it, whether you put it in the dryer or not. Obviously it will shrink more in the dryer. I didn't want mine to shrink that much at all so I washed in cold/cold and hung dry it in my basement, and it still fits great after 2 washes, and I train in it twice a week. It kind of depends on how you want your gi to fit too. Hope this helps...

What happens if you're 6'4" and 205?

Take a look at the size chart IRC...

Yeah I did. That's why I'm wondering, because it's either an A4 for someone that's under 6'2", or an A4 for someone that starts at 225lbs. Seems the gi only either fit me too short, or too wide. :)

I'm kind of between sizes myself. I'm a shade over 5'10 and weigh around 163 pounds. A2 or A3 w/hot wash and dryer?

I'm 5'11"/165 and the A3 fits great. Of course it was pretty big at first but after a few trips in the good 'ol dryer it now fits perfect. If I were you I'd get an A3 and shrink it down.

Go A3. It will be perfect for you. I'm 5'11, 155-160lbs and I just got my Fuji A3 delivered today. The jacket fits almost perfect right out of the bag. The sleeves are just a little long(2 inches) so I plan on washing and very carefully drying it in a minute. The pants are long so I'll be trying to really shrink those but don't see a problem.
I gotta say I'm very happy with this purchase so far. The cut is great for thinner guys like myself, it feels great, nice collar, and pretty lightweight. I'll try to put a pic up later for you to see before you buy. If you have any specific questions, dcfella, PM me. I'd be happy to help.

I can see how that could be frustrating...I ran into a similar problem w/ another gi. If you do decide to get the A4 make sure you try it on b4 you wash it. If the sleeves are ''just" long enough, they won't be after washing, even if you wash in cold and hang dry. Anyway if it dosen't fit right just return it and get the next size up and shrink to fit. you'll pob have to shrink the hell out of the pants though. Btw don't take the tags off until you're sure you will keep it 'cause some places won't accept return if you do.
