Frank Trigg: Robbie Lawler almost killed me -- I could have died on the way to the ER

The "gotta keep punching till the REF jumps in" mantra is so stupidly dogmatic. Reminds me of the "if you draw a weapon you need to blow someone's brains out" dogma of the gun nuts.

Oh did I say this RIGHT AFTER I POSTED THE GIF? In my mind, I fight until I'm stopped. I have no issue with fighters landing until the ref does his job.

The ref tried his best to get Rampage off of Wand but Page held his ground just to land more shots. But that's not a big deal because he's Brazilian.

This post made me laugh.. coming from a guy that clearly has never been in a fight, and sure as hell has never trained a day in his life at all.

To see you telling people that don't like the late shot that "they've obviously never been in a fight in their life"... is so ironically funny.

You do know it means you've never trained a day in your life, because you'd have the opposite opinion? And you spend your entire life posting on an MMA forum, something you've never actually been involved in, without a keyboard?

Hell, you're not even good at posting on this site.

when I saw 19 pages I knew some people would get their shit knotted up
it's not like lawler kept doing this

Keep going until the ref stops the fight. It's not the fighters responsibility to worry about his opponents health, that's what the ref is there to do.

Agreed.

You can't even say it was a heat of the moment sort of thing. He thought long and hard about throwing that punch and made an outright shitty call.

Yes I'm aware I'm a pussy that's never been in a fight or even trained a day in my life so I should just keep my shit comments to myself. And yes I'm quite aware I'm not good as posting on this site as others but don't you ever say I use a keyboard, I post from my phone! I type on a screen, not on keys! Don't ever make me this upset again, pal!

It's the accumulation of blows.

He has had other fights. Those symptoms may have materialized after that fight, but no doubt he wasn't 100 percent brain functioning before the Lawler fight.

Why didn't he retire after that fight? Why continue to fight when he had those sorts of symptoms after the Lawler bout? MMA managers are shit, that's why.

He had 9 more fights between numerous organizations and was willing to mortgage his health for what amounts to petty cash.

Robbie Lawler is why Frank Trigg was beating his wife, he'd should be stripped of the belt and banned from the sport!

7 minutes to reply to my post in a 20 page thread, 20k posts in a few years on an online forum..

all while advocating brain damage, safe in your mothers basement.

lawler was smart enough to know that trigg was done. i agree that the ref should have stepped in. but i still put the blame on lawler.

Wow I have never seen this fight. Lawler is an animal and in the past two years, turned into a true LEGEND!

You put the blame on both, the ref should have stopped it. Lawler knew dam well what he was doing, he watched him fall, waited a full second, staring at him, then loaded up on his power hand.

Two things to make this a real sport. When things like this happen, the fighters need to be fined, or the ref disciplined if needed...

secondly you need better fans without piss poor opinions that actually want and encourage these things to happen, and think it's okay.

No one has ever trained a day in their life, or done anything at a remotely competitive level in sports would think that this is okay. You're not a fan of MMA if this is what you think should happen, and what it's all about. It's nerd kids like Grindinganarchy, that spend more time on their playstation or xbox, then actually competing in anything, or working a full time job for that matter, that still make this site, and sport at times seem barbaric.

Lol at the biased losers defending Lawler in this situation. Could you imagine if Jones did something like this?

Of course Trigg is a complete loser, and a prick. Probably my least favourite MMA fighter, but does he really deserve life long trauma and brain damage.. for participating in a sporting event? In a situation that shouldn't have occurred?

To wish that on anyone, you need to see a therapist. I'm sure you're a real fun person to be around when you're not on the interwebs.

Looks like your on some kind of predictive text. You say "describe" where I think you meant to say "deserve".
