I don’t get the “reverence” towards Robbie. Dude spent the middle 3rd of his career as a journeyman. Then suddenly one day he’s a champ. Not fishy at all.....

It's not the fighters job to stop when their opponent is knocked out, it's the referee's job to stop the fight and keep both fighters safe.

Those extra shots were "super necessary" ;-)

Just curious... I remember reading a comment on some mma article somewhere that young Robbie was once in trouble with the law for assaulting someone. Anyone knows anything or was that just a baseless rumor?

i'm not sure a lot of newer fans realize this, but Hawaii was a host to A LOT of brutal fucking fights. one of the reasons why is because Hawaii basically allowed full on Pride rules for a long time in MMA.

Whilst that is indeed brutal, it's not the same as the Trigg incident.
He stops stomping the second he see's his opponent is out.
Lawlers punch on Trigg and Hendo's hellbow on Bisping (and wandy) are on a completely unconscious fighter.
