Francis wont make a big bag even if he gets a fight with Fury or Wilder

Smart move to do Jones vs Gane like a month after announcing Ngannou was leaving. Everyone was hyped for Jones return and then his performance just made everyone forget about Francis! Smart play

The fact that he’s even talking to BKFC goes to show you he’s desperate, he’s been a free agent for almost 5 months and doesn’t have one deal inked. Dude made a mistake. If Connor became a free agent today, promoters of all kinds would offer him 15-20 million to fight canelo, etc. Ngannou is nothing without the ufc machine behind him. I doubt PFL can even get close to watch the ufc is offering him. But Jake Paul and Tyson fury aren’t getting Francis any big fights and it’s been almost 5 months.

Boxing fans are pissed and fed up with Fury for fumbling the undisputed fight with Usyk. Imagine the outrage if he now annouces he will instead fight Ngannou. People wont care and will boycot it. Even if he gets the fight, if Fury wants 70% of the purse against Usyk who hold three championship belts, he will offer Ngannou way less. Chisora got 4 million and he is more of a household name than Ngannou.

Wilder on the other hand is not a draw by himself. His last PPV did 75k buys. He is adamant of getting his belts back so fight with Francis does absolutely nothing for him. Wilder also would take lion share of the purse which Im afraid even wont be that big.

Francis could have been a mega star by beating Jon but instead chose to make one of the biggest mistakes in the history of combat sport in my humble opinion.

The only way Francis makes bank is he accepts a decent offer to fight Fury(and in fact even receives one), wins. Then can demand the world for the next fight.

I don't think nobody wants him. Lots of people have been in touch. The issue is nobody wants to pay. Its been reported was offer 8 million a fight in UFC so I imagine his asking for around 15 million min. I don't think any promoter can pay him that make a profit.

Chisora had 4.5 million plus 20% of PPV purse. 20% of 300k buys at $85 is another $5,100,000.

A 80/20 split of one of those 100 million Abu Dhabi purses would be 20 million for Francis and if it does 600k buys another 10 million.

He has to be willing to take a smaller salary with Bellator or PFL with the idea of making that up with a couple of boxing matches.

That might work particularly if he can market himself as a champ of one of those promotions and take on a few boxing matches in between.

With his age and the rate he fights, I don't think he has many fights left in him.
 
He'll sign somewhere that allows him to do outside promotions, advertising and business ventures and if he's smart he'll make way more than he could in the UFC.

GSP and Ronda madde WAAAAY more money of advertising than they did from the UFC.

I remember GSP talking about his signing the Gatorade was paying him more than his entire MMA career to date.

Hell Conor made the vast majority of his money on one boxing match.
 
People have a short memory. If Francis is not active about the big fight, he will become irrelevant in a year or two.
 
Neither Fury or Wilder need Francis. They can fight Joshua, Usyk, etc and make a hell of a lot more.
