1 fight doesn't mean anything. he was a lot more technical vs Arlovski. people don't realize it but Ngannou is a rather patient striker. he rarely throws first and that's part of the reason he looks so sloppy here. the gameplan was to pressure Rozenstriuk into a brawl to negate Jairzinho's timing so he had to initiate to get Rozenstriuk going backwards. when you do things that are uncomfortable for you, they don't usually look great but it worked.

it's ugly but he destroyed a high level career kickboxer who is a KO counter puncher himself. it's not like he windmill'd Ben Askren. Jairzinho should've been able to capitalize on it but he couldn't because of the surprise aggression from Ngannou.

The Overeem fight is too much to rewatch, but wasn't his strategy largely the same as Rozenstriuk? Even then, I would argue that if they ever rematched, that would never work again.
I have always wondered how Francis would do if someone fought him like Travis Browne fought Overeem during the last 30 seconds of the fight--constant unanswered front kicks to the face. If he blitzed into one of those, he might knock himself out.

People will spam the Rozenstruik gif, that was a one off decision for a strategy that worked and he won by KO so why not? All the other finishes are pretty slick, he's more technical than people here talk about him like. However he's been out for so long so we don't even know what he looks like now after a bad injury.
