Hows your fighting career going?

I'm not a fighter, I'm a lover.

He isn’t being picky about money. It’s all the extra shit he wants. Healthcare, sponsors, board seats…. I’m not saying fighters don’t deserve some of that, but he’s just not the guy to get it.

What his problem is, is that he bought his own hype. UFC was pushing him hard and he thought he was bigger than he really is. He’s not even a blip on the radar for getting a real boxing match. Maybe we will get a Fury, Wilder, Joshua match IF they fall out of the top 10 before they retire. Top ranked title holders and contenders have ZERO reason to box Francis. Everyone was pumping him up and he ate it like a god damn cake.
The only reason a top ranked boxer would do it is basically because it's really easy for them. Boxing Francis requires no training and may still get some kind of substantial payday for much less work than training for an actual professional boxer that belong somewhere close to a ring.

Ah!
Nailed it!

I've been saying this for a while. If you look at fan forums, you see LOTS of people talking about stratospheric fighter pay.
Promotions have one job: promote. Get people to engage and watch.

Apparently, lying about millions generates views.
Obvious strategy: lie about millions.

Where does a promotion like PFL come up with the money to pay anyone a million anything?
If people streamsteal UFC, they will def streamsteal PFL.
TV deal?
TV stations aren't dumb. They don't pay millions to anyone if they can't make more millions on the event.
Advertisers aren't dumb. They won't pay millions for ad spots if a TV station can't guarantee millions of solvent viewers.

So yah. When Bob's Ultimate Brawling Championship announces they just signed Ngannou for ten million, they are lying. Or they are talking in Venezuelan socialist currency where a loaf of bread costs 50 bolivars.

I wonder if MLB and NFL and NBA are playing the same game?

I don't know how much he will get or if he's in a better or worse place as a result. I too agree he likely won't be making a crazy amount more at PFL than he would have in the UFC

But they have the money. Look up the owners. They're basically an investment fund. Words like Laundry come to mind

You seriously think PFL's offered him over 20 million? For what a 10-15 fight deal?
I seriously think he's working on a deal that would make him turn down ONE's alleged "20m guaranteed" deal. I don't claim to know what this deal is (and I don't care that much) but I DO think it's where the money is for him. I was simply responding to that retort and pointing out the obvious. If he was worried about money as much as Sherdog is, he'd have taken that "20m guaranteed" deal.

While SD ups the drama level of their obsession with his finances, he's clearly not nearly as worried and desperate as they are. There are tons of excited and dramatic posts about his life, chances, and pay on SD every day while he stays smiling and fairly silent as he takes his meetings and works on his deal. It's humorous.

It's like a man calmly walking through a run down room as all the cockroaches scatter around. Sherdog, baby!

And I was pointing out to OP, who was saying Francis will be poor, that OP was likely poorer than Francis and would likely always be that way. And that he should remember to carry the 5. Always remember to carry the damned 5. Maths 101.

He still has lots of value, just not even close to how much he thinks he has.

There are half a dozen mma/boxing orgs that would gladly pay a few million to have him fight. He could sign with just about anybody today if he wants. His issue is that he doesn't just want the money, he wants to change the entire business in one move with all of his extra demands. He does not have enough value for that.

All the credit to him but for god sakes man, comprise a bit. This can't be a one person thing. If you can get them to concede on even one or two of these issues, take it as a win and a step forward and then let someone else take up the sword.

I’ll take some ranch with that hefty word salad. But regardless, you are assuming that you know the details of his ONE offer which, again, you don’t. The reality is that regardless of you’re dumbass assumptions, Francis isn’t going to get a boxing Superfight and will fade to irrelevance in the Professional Forgotten League. Once he takes a loss to a tomato can, I’ll be using some more of my tax money to provide big Frank with a relief check.. Again…
Yes, he makes more money than you. And yes, you talk about him and he has no clue you exist. And yes, you will likely never be richer than Francis again.

And, yes, you can have ranch, brother. All you can eat, in fact - it's on the house, lol.

No, I'm not assuming I know the details of ANY offer. Madness. I'm assuming that everyone predicting doom and gloom are way further out on branches of the tree of assumption than I am.

And you, with your impotent fantasies of funding Francis' life when he's far richer than you, sound like the classic case of projection and jealousy. You are far out on the limbs of that same tree. But for all your shaking, the only likely outcome is your own fall. Because none of Sherdog's bitter and empty words reach Francis' wallet. But news of Francis' life reaches Sherdog's bitter and empty ears and provoke much drama.

And I'll give you some ranch for those words too.

Luckily it's a market so if the entire market rejects his offer, he can revise it and go back to market. In any case, he'll be fine.

You can write all the essays you want, bottom line is that he is wasting the last few good years he has left.

The dude is at the least turning 37 is coming off major knee surgery has fought 3 time this decade. Anyone willing to pay him 8mil a fight is probably making a mistake at this point.

This June 2023 he will have only fought 3 times in 48 months think about that.. add in being late 30's major knee surgery were a lot of guys are never the same "shogun" and this dude is trying to cash out not be a trend setter for the entire mma world!

Wake up bro!!
Shit, I've been sleeping. You're making this sound really urgent! I have to.... I have to wake up here, man.....

Shit, I'm not agitated enough... something's gotta be done. WHY FRANCIS??? OH WHYYYYY???

I feel your angst, brother. It's tasty!

To sign any deal with any organisation at any price he want

This guy is so delusional

Remember when Fury said he want to do a boxing match with Ngannou, i think he just throw that randomly at a time when ngannou was hype and Ngannou believed it

How a guy who grew up in one of the poorest area in the world working in a sand mine as a kid can be so freaking picky about money after being rich already putting against him all the fighting organization in the world

Nobody want or can sign him now, he is completely disconnected from our world

He bottled the bag. It reminds me of AJ ducking Wilder and can crushing before quiting on a fight vs butter bean.

The Einstein of mma negotiations.

Hey buddy, guy. This person was also expressing his opinion & feelings on the matter.

You think "fucyou" is normal part od opinion? :)
In my cpmpany we dont express our opinion that way.
maybe it depends who you hang out with xd

The only time Jones asked for 20 millions for one fight was when Ngannou was still in the UFC and had the belt.
Dana said jbj wanted 30 million to fight Frank, Dana also advised to go back to185 during jbj's "going to HW" hiding routine fakery that avoided every HW fighter for 3 years.

Jon Jones is the HW champ. Once he beat Gane easily, Francis's post-UFC plans were ruined. No one cares anymore.

He fumbled the bag. Theres no spinning it. Initially he said he's doing boxing first and then crickets. Nobody wants it so now all he has left is PFL. Major Fumble.
seems like with people like you he cant do anything right. Im not even that big of a francis fan but i wish him the best because for me its fighters over any promotion loyalty or fanboyism.

He thought he was a combat sports unicorn being held back by the UFC. Surely every promoter on earth would see his unmistakable talent and pull out stacks of cash from their big money vaults for the honor of displaying his greatness. Surely the three wisemen from the east would see the star in the sky, know that the fighting messiah has been born, and bring him gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
