Of all the things you can attribute the 2020 crime spike to, DAs elected at the end of the year and their campaign contributors have to be the dumbest. And it would be really easy for him to prove his theory (or at least establish a correlation, which would be a big step toward establishing cause) if it were correct.

well if the problem stems from the judges and district attorneys not being tough enough on crime and its a revolving door between their arrest and them getting let out of court leading people to commit more crimes knowing they wont get much punishment out of it, then how about they start cleaning it up by throwing the book at everybody on the crimes they get convicted on. hand them all the max sentences. starting with donald trump! he's a public figure that should be made an example of. a former president. somebody your children should look up to as a mentor and role model. someone who can represent just how great america is and what its all about. i mean shit if the president of the united states doesnt want to follow the rules, then why should anybody else?

if anyone deserve to be prosecuted to the fullest for their offenses, its the politicians, law enforcement, legislators, and court officials. they are the ones who make and enforce the laws. they should have to follow them too, or face the full brunt of the law if they don't. sadly the system doesnt work like that. rules for thee, not for me.
