Economy For the second Halloween in a row, U.S. candy inflation hits double digits

Indeed, I think a great many companies are raising prices an extra few percent or more over what they need to (as opposed to just the amount needed to cover their own increased costs) just because they can pretend it's all due to inflation.
I read an article on it a while back think it started during covid. Record profits on it.
 
This is cool.

I was around last year when all the candy would be laced with fentanyl, and kids around America were about to drop dead.

When explained that it probably wasn't going to happen, I was assured it was: fentanyl only costs pennies, so it would definitely be in candy.
