For people who think Merab can beat Umar

I think Umar will probably win, but you'd be crazy to think Merab has no chance. His style is basically a cheat code to win rounds with no extended striking exchanges and not really spending that much time on the ground either by making his opponent too busy defending TDs to do any damage of their own. He doesn't finish anyone, doesn't have great gnp, isn't a sub threat, doesn't hold top control or even need to actually get the TD, he just needs to keep his opponent defending TDs, and not spend enough time on the feet to get KO'd or enough time on the ground to get subbed. Umar needs to find a way to make him pay for failed TDs or there is a chance for Merab to just spam until the clock runs out.

lol, a midget that will outgrapple someone who trains everyday with the best MMA grapplers we've ever seen?
Let's see how well your message aged in a week.
All I talked about is the possibility that a guy known exclusively for his grappling can certainly outgrapple another man, even another seemingly competent grappler, whose grappling hasn't actually been tested against top level competition.

Regardless of the outcome, you are a low brow, low IQ fan if you believe that a person's last name or gym makes them invincible to a certain style or technique.

In addition, they're both midgets.

Merab knows, that's why he did everything on his power to duck

If Merab takes him down over and over Usmans other skills won't matter. It's not like he hasn't beaten good wrestlers with better striking than himself.

Broadly speaking, Merab has put together a sensational number of wins against multiple world champions in a competitive division.

Broadly speaking, Umar looked great against lower-level talent, then finally had his chance to shine against a ranked opponent in Sandhagen. They had a stinker staring contest and he got by with a workmanlike, competitive decision without any big moments.

So setting everything else aside, Merab is wildly, wildly more proven against elite talent. Its not even close. Then we get into styles make fights, its MMA anything can happen and so on.

But that is your answer.

let's see in a week, and see clearly how much you have a compost bin IQ level.

Again, mongoloid, OP asked why do some people think Merab could win. All I did was answer that Merab has the ability to grapple anyone at BW, as he's shown before, and that this would be Umar's stiffest grappling test. Nowhere did I give my prediction of the fight.

Merab’s best chance at beating Umar is now. My only concern is that he didnt see this and jump on it.

Umar is still young and growing from fight to fight. He will get better. Merab is far more seasoned and advanced with experience competing at the most elite level.

Umar still makes mistakes. Merab, very few. Not that he can’t be beaten, but Umar is winning somewhat competitive fights while Merab is shutting people tf out. If Merab doesn’t take this, it’s his psychology that failed him, or Umar making an enormous spurt in confidence and skill growth, cause he has all the tools to beat the last Umar we saw:

I expect a bang out, drag out, slobberknocker

Merab has about a 20% chance.

If he stays on his feet, he is going to get pieced up by Muay Thai.
i agree, umars striking is crisp.

but i also thought that about aldo.

merab could hold him against the cage for 5 rounds and get a win.

it wouldnt be pretty or even cool. but it has worked before

Yea and your reasoning is as low as the IQ of a candle stick. Stop embarrassing yourself by expressing your thinking.

You're the type of guy waking up with the worst morning breath and trying to have a conversation right in someone's face, about something no one cares about.

Btw Einstein, I'm the OP, so get your halitosis out of here.

What a meager, childish mind you possess. My pity to your mother.
