Elections For Canadians (and sure, Americans and others can chime in): Is this a good reason to vote Liberal in the upcoming Canada election?

Yeah but this also shows Pierre's inability to pivot accordingly and do more than just trash Trudeau and use slogans.

How do you blow such a big lead that it's now a tight race. And STILL no cost platform released? I mean come on dude this is a terrible look and screams incompetence for people who aren't Liberal/Conservative and still undecided.
Incompetence is something we are used to in Canada and are on target to vote for again.

PP is the same guy he has been since Harper was PM. He has not taken talking points from anyone or emulated anyone. I have followed him closely and he is the only politician to stay on point and as you say, not pivot. I admire that in a politician, because adanboning your morals to win an election is not admirable. Ask Erin O'Toole.

Carney got lucky that conservatives chose a guy like PP who couldn’t come up with his own personality, ripped off trump every way he could until it bit him in the ass and doubled down on that? Ok. I guess that is lucky.
Just curious what is your drug of choice ? Must be a strong one because you live in alternate reality if you really believe that.

You recently tried to make the argument that Pierre is Trump like simply because they both have the higher attended rallies.

Under that logic there is a Trump like candidate in every election that has ever happened.

While I don't like that the costed platform has not been released I highly doubt it will be direct opposition to what has been promised throughout the election campaign, if that happens I may reconsider my vote.

My question is that with the Liberal Platform being in direct opposition to campaign promises, why would anyone vote for the Liberals who just blatantly lied to your face ?

Gushing over inaccurate rally sizes.
Cheesy slogans and catch phrases.
Nick Names for opponents

It was working for a while. But yeah, pretend like you haven’t seen side by side videos of the two making similar remarks and I am the only person who is saying this.

To wait until 25% of votes have already gone in, and not release the platform details until tomorrow, when you've had years of campaigning, is really disappointing.

I can't take a leader seriously when they don't take themselves seriously

Did you see the interview with the lady on Rosie Barton came out and said that Carney 's platform was written by the Liberals like weeks before Carney even got the nod?. Yet fools lap it up.
I'll try and find it.

Yes I did, anyone who thinks Carney or Trudeau for that matter is in charge of the Liberal Party or that there will be any significant change is a fucking idiot. Which seems to include half of the people in this thread.

@Andy Capp the laugh reacting retard again can't refute anything I said.

That retard is guaranteed a member of queers for Palestine. He makes zero points and goes with his emotions.

100% correct. Here in Sudbury the Lougheed family run the liberal party, none of which are elected members. They decided that the provincial handicapped liberal candidate should be eliminated to import the popular federal NDP MP into the provincial liberal party. Just fired his wheelchair ass to import a candidate from another party who they promised a ministerial role to. This was about 10 years ago under Wynne.

@rikibobby @Lycandroid

Can you give a reasonable response to an undecided voter on why Pierre decided to wait AFTER advance polling to release his platform?

I mean that alone seems like a red flag imo.

Voting technically started weeks ago and NDP both released platforms Saturday a day after advance polling started. So it's not like months or weeks, it's 2 days between Saturday and Tuesday. The real question is why did none of the major parties release their platform at least a week before advance polling? I think officially nearly 3 million voters cast votes before any platforms were released and I find it doubtful that majority of voters read platforms of the ndp of libs heading into Sunday and today.

Canadian voters are by in large feckless when it comes to demanding transparency from their parties

My point stands. Why did CPC decide to wait until after advance polling stations ended to release their platform? (Expected for tomorrow). What's the reasoning?

No, I can't.

Can you give me 1 reason why anyone who has been alive for the last 10 years would possibly vote liberal?

Im not privy to the information. My point is its 2 days apart and none of the parties released before advance polling started so to me it's a non issue.

If it's triggering to you, you could have voted liberal or ndp sunday or today.

People believing anything told to them during campaigns versus voting based off the parties actual performance is why we are heading for a self-own 4th term of liberals.

I would've loved if every party was forced to release them ahead of time. But I was never going to work for ndp because of Singh, and the Libs have a built in excuse whether you or I believe them or not (Carney is newer than Pierre).

CPC had plenty of time to prepare for this. It just doesn't make sense. I'm not sure why you're trying to belittle my opinion which is a valid one if we're trying to hold our politicians and the parties accountable.

Plenty of reasons. I'm not going to speak for others. I'm speaking as an undecided voter, I had high expectations for the CPC which seems to be fumbling the ball near the finish line. This will be studied in history if they lose.

Or maybe it's because we found out Pierre is a one trick pony during the last 3 months and they went from the biggest win in Canadian political history to perhaps losing to a liberal majority? That's gotta sting.

Now if O'Toole was the man behind the party, I think they'd comfortably hold on the lead they once had even with Trudeau stepping down and Trump going full 51st lol

No it won't. Well maybe as the biggest mistake the electorate has ever made in history should things get as bad as expected with Carney spending more than Trudeau.

It isn't some crazy comeback. It's a new leader, the big red liberal campaign machine and Trump being elected president. That's it.

Well, that's retarded and makes no sense.
