Elections For Canadians (and sure, Americans and others can chime in): Is this a good reason to vote Liberal in the upcoming Canada election?

So avoiding question on details with the Trump call, quebec separatism and whether or not he would consider a coalition with the Bloc are plastic straw issues to you

Got it
As Damien pointed out, PP has been literally running from questions for months. If he loses, this collapse will be studied for decades. He could have been more open and personable, but instead acted like a cocky prick. Dude thought he was getting a supermajority. Might not even get a monitory govt at this point.

Again, do you have the tally of media appearances? I'd be happy to see them. Let me know if Mark dropping out of the TVO debate on short notice is included.

He's drop 4-6 points in national average from peak till now...I do agree Carney absolutely demolishing the Left and NDP will be studied. I'm grateful to him for the cap gain tax cut, reduction in downward redistribution and annihilation of the NDP / Left in federal politics

Do you have a tally of media appearances done by each candidate?

Are you including Carney dick tucking the TVO debate in them?
I'm going to do my best Poilievre impression and refuse to answer any follow up question.

This is the one issue Carney is sidestepping. Pierre has been avoiding the media all campaign long.
It's not even an issue, IMO. It's a nothingburger; it may have been the best choice, but Carney was trying to be diplomatic and not stir up shit unnecessarily.

Interesting program about voter engagement in Canada,

April 21, 2025
PEI has the highest voter turnout of any other province in Canada. Voting is fundamental to this community. Residents see firsthand how their vote matters — several elections were decided by 25 votes or less. In this small province, people have a personal and intimate connection with politicians. MLAs know voters on an individual basis and they feel a duty to their job. In our series, IDEAS for a Better Canada (produced in partnership with the Samara Centre for Democracy), Nahlah Ayed visits the birthplace of Confederation to hear how Prince Edward Islanders sustain the strong democracy they built.

Sigh. Boy With Apple has really blown his chance to position himself as a whisperer. A new voice to effectively deal with the GOAT. But I don’t see any difference. It’s like Sunak vs Starmer as far as I see. I’m sure it’s different for Canadians but in this side, it’s hard to have a dog. Based or nothing

Whatever happens....let it just come with the NDP losing party status. Liberal majority hopefully comes with at least that

Carney and Polievre are irrelevant.

This election is all about Trump.

Was Trump's antagonistic attitude towards Canada enough to make centrist Canadians swallow their vomit and vote for the libs again?

That's all that matters.

If Carney wins, all it shows is that even Canadians don't give a shit about Canadian politics.

If Polievre wins, it shows that Canadians are able to turn off the TDS for five minutes and make a good decision for once.

Conservatives having a pretty solid Atlantic Canada showing thus far...11 seats is what Harper era majorities got there and that's what they are currently leading in.

Polling looks good from popular vote standpoint. Lefirst NDP and Green getting graped in their soy holes. Hopefully that continues

Canadians are some of the dumbest people on the planet. It’s almost unbelievable they keep voting to be poor and full of crime and immigrants.

It’s funny watching PP have to pretend he actually likes his supporters and now going around to his new riding and shake hands with them. His wife thought she was done with this and would be married to the pm by now. The grift must continue.
