Following someone to the ground after a knockdown is the worst thing you can do

Most of the time the guy will be too fucked up to gather his senses and stand up and the ref will need to stop it. If the ref doesn't stop it the guy who just got fucked up will have to stand and bang with you. There is literally zero reason to follow someone to the ground to finish them off. It's also a baller move which make you look better for the judges in case the person isn't finished.

I just rewatched coyboy Oliveria vs Ryan Leflare and Cowboy punches him and walks away and the ref has to stop the fight even thought Leflare is squirming around. If Cowboy hopped on him it would provide an excuse to not stop the fight.
While I don't agree with you, thanks for remembering me of Cowboy vs. Laflare, that was delicious.
Now, about it, I guess plenty (not to say a lot) of fighters will just hop on that train and take both the round and wear his opponent a little, making the whole fight easier.
But that really depends, Cowboy vs. Laflare was indeed a KO, a KD is something else.

Depends on the situation, if you see a good opportunity for a leg drop or elbow drop you gotta take

Except it’s not the fighters job to call his own fight. If the ref is allowing them to follow up then it’s their problem and should be reviewed

This is the only acceptable way to follow someone down
