Floyd Mayweather TBE?

Because its phony....There are currently 10 weight classes at 140 lbs. and under and if someone farts they move a weight class and can dominate....In all other sports its who is the best...the best of a sport NOT the champion of a class in the sport...Under 6' NBA player?....under 200 lb. NFL running back?....best left handed tennis player?....
Muhammad Ali would beat Sugar Ray Leonard=the best ever... Deontay Wilder would beat Floyd Mayweather=currently the best....period.
Example:Roy Jones Jr. moved up from Middleweight to Lightheayweight to Heavyweight and proved that during that era he was the best.

All combat sports have weight classes. Wrestling, boxing, MMA, etc. The point you keep making is not going over well because it makes absolutely no sense.

Also, by your absurd logic, RJJ still did not prove he was the best of his era by beating Ruiz. He would have had to beat Lennox Lewis.

I am not opposed to weight classes....its just that there are too many of them and the reason that they exist is so that organizations can have more champions and thus sanctioning fees for title fights.

But my greater point is that the best of the sport is the guy that would dominate everyone else....That would never be Floyd Mayweather or Sugar Ray Leonard or even Sugar Ray Robinson....There were guys even in their eras that would beat them.
And yes Jones would have had to fight and beat Lennox but the fact that he was the smaller boxer and fought his way up to the heavyweight championship to prove his worthiness. He may have even fought Lewis if Tarver had not constantly been chirping in his ear and Roy's ego got in the way.

The athletes in the sport of boxing are called boxers...Wilder beats Mayweather and would dominate as to who the best boxer was.

That is not how any of the combat sports work, for obvious reasons. Everybody understands what you are saying, it just doesn't make any sense.

Oh, Roy beat Lennox Lewis and proved he was the best? I must have missed that.

The point is that sports with weight classes are fundamentally different than other sports and they're approached by those who follow them in fundamentally a different way. Yes, generally speaking, the best HW would beat everyone else. However, in a sport with weight classes, people also happen to care about ability and achievement relative to weight. You can sit in the corner and yell until you're blue in the face about how people should care way more about HW (a division with far less depth, quality, and interesting fights to make than just about any other division in the sport), but the last century of boxing, wrestling, Thai boxing, and other sports with weight classes would suggest that the best fighters relative to weight will be looked at as the greatest fighters, not necessarily just the best fighter competing at the highest weight class (not saying that a HW can't be looked at as the greatest, of course). I mean, are people going to say that Brock Lesnar was a greater NCAA wrestler than Cael Sanderson just because he'd likely have beaten him if they wrestled each other? No, people understand that Sanderson was an undoubtedly greater wrestler relative to weight than Lesnar was.

I get the sense that actjac more or less just wants there to be a single open weight division in boxing. Why he wants less high quality boxing is beyond me. Some might suggest it's motivated by some type of insecurity, but I couldn't say for sure.

No....not in favor of a single weight class...just less of them and also that the stupid P4P debate is meaningless because the greatest boxers are the one's who would beat anyone else....The greatest boxers in the sport would be the ones who would win in head to head combat.

I was once at a gym and within 10 feet of a confrontation outside of the ring between a top heavyweight contender and a (then) current welterweight champion....nose to nose, accusations and threats....the respected world champion crapped his pants in fear when it appeared that it would become physical and backed away and left.....Thus the more dominant man won the confrontation...there was no P4P talk as to who the best was.

remember when Actjac wasn't a totally shit poster?

yeah, nor do I

That was just Floyd's boy peanut wearing a TBE shirt. He wasn't even scared though, he just left because Floyd paged him.
