Social Fixing California

Nothing besides living in a safe, well kept private town.

So, basically nothing.

I live 30 minutes north of Toronto, my house is worth around 1.2, and I pay 4600 per year, same as yours, a safe community and well kept, beautiful public facilities, etc. So basically I pay 400 per month and am infuriated about it, I don't even wanna consider 2K per month. Wow, just wow.

Here's what a two brdrm apt goes for in the LA area. It's ridiculous, honestly.

It really is crazy, getting just as crazy in downtown Toronto, I have a 700 sq. ft. condo I rent out for 2700 per month, it is a lakefront, many major attractions near by and has amazing views off the balcony. Honestly though I could never see myself paying that for such little space, but that's what they are renting out at.

We had a guy at my office who always wanted to live in LA. He had a nice big house here in Raleigh. He was able to transfer to LA and got a 30k cost of living adjustment. He now lives in a 1000 sq ft apartment with his wife and complains that he can't afford to go out to dinner every weekend like he did back here. He wad certainly making 6 figures here so I'd imagine he makes around 130-150k in cali, but lives like a college student now.

We basically pay for the luxury of being a short commute to the shithole known as NYC. I believe my county is one of the highest taxed in the entire U.S.

California threads are always great because they always show the absolute morons that post here from their net drain red states.

highest % of homeless
highest poverty rate
highest % of welfare recipients

But you have to live in Raleigh.

Not me. I'm out of here within a few weeks, back to Arizona where the living is cheap, the girls are easily impressed and the commute is walkable. You can have California.

What part of Arizona are you moving back to?
My wife & I just moved to Sedona a month ago & we love it. We love how quiet it is here about five miles south of downtown. Yeah, it's in the middle of nowhere but when we feel like being around more people we just drive into town or go to Cottonwood or ( if we want to go for a long ride ) Flagstaff.
Anyhow, have a good move & welcome back.

So many calis moving to TX. In 3 years, home prices have damn near doubled. I pay approx $1k /month in property taxes now. So, they move from the broken liberal state to a Red state with a hot economy. Lets just hope they learned their lesson and dont vote dem after moving here.

Bro, I KNOW. I give you shit at every opportunity about it. In a loving way, of course ;)

Never been to Sedona but plan to vacation there in the near future. I'll be back in Tucson. Glad you are enjoying Arizona so far.

Yeah, it's great.
So, just a matter of weeks before the move back, huh? That's got to be exciting. Our last month in New York we were counting down the days too.
Are you traveling light or renting a truck to move your stuff?
